Why?
I mean, tell me that those summoner boots don't look neat with that scholar cloak.Do summoners really have a monopoly on brown leather lace-up thigh highs?

Lore.
You don't wear a McDonalds uniform to officiate a wedding at a chapel, do you? (bad analogy, same situation though)
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥

...You could.
People get married in themed-chapels-or-ceremonies all the time. :-B
You don't even need to be part of the chapel to officiate a wedding. You just need a certificate.

You could but that doesn't necessarily mean you should. Lore is law, and from what we know from, ie. WHM lore, WHM gear is only applicable to WHM because it has been blessed by the Elementals/the Padjal, and only blessed so that it works in amplifying WHM abilities, etc.
I don't, the lore devs do.

Yes buuuuut, with how glamours work in this game lore wise. It doesn't actually trample on the lore, glamours are merely an illusion spell. Not us actually putting the gear on. We make one piece of gear look like another piece of gear, that does not mean it comes with all the lore behind it. We are just borrowing that robe's appearance, not its blessings and enchantments.

I don't think any parties involved (eg. Tonberries of Nym, Padjali, etc.) would appreciate having their image tarnished by another group wearing it. Let's also ignore the clipping issues it would have with, say, Dragoon, Ninja, Monk especially...Yes buuuuut, with how glamours work in this game lore wise. It's just a can of worms that SE would be better off not opening because it's too much effort for too little gain. AF gear should stay AF gear, everything else is fair game (yes, even the metal wall that is the i90 Heavy Allagan set).

That's fine, because she isn't. That's not how glamour works in lore. You don't literally equip the gear - you cast an illusion over your current gear.
Your first point is baffling as far as lore excuses go, and as for point two... I really don't think potential clipping issues should be a concern. Let players mix and match and decide if certain things clipping doesn't float their boat.
It's not diversity when your options are limited such that everyone of your job is wearing the same stuff.
I also think that this would be a simple fix if they rolled it into a complete revamp of the glamour system (to include all the problems you mentioned).

It's actually more of a guideline.
Case in point: The MNK 2 AF. You can get that at level 60 regardless of whether you have did the quests and opened your chakras or if you still only have the one from the introductory quest. Lorewise, you'd bleed out your lifeforce at a massive rate like that. Gameplay wise? No issues whatsoever.
Bad analogy and completely different situation. xD We're not talking about uniforms that are required to be worn for a job you're paid to do at a company. It's just clothes, and you're just adventuring.

Artifact gear, for the most part, is a uniform. Regardless of whether you'd like to think it not to be a uniform, it's explicitly stated in the lore book that AF gear, for the most part, is gear assigned to that specific job, not the class, not another job. Just the one job. You have no case here if the lore book already states that.
