Take a chill pill, brah, it's glamour. B-D
The moment the "why can't my character equip this other job's item? it's just a shirt after all!!" argument came out we had already passed the point of no return. The moment someone starts pushing that silliness the discussion is basically over, because it becomes a discussion about "why should RPG mechanics exist? that's not realistic!!"

Says who? You? I'm sorry, didn't know you were a moderator or some grandmaster who decides where the point of no return is. In my opinion, the point has some validity, the jobs do lose some of their exclusivity and uniqueness when you can just have ALL of them on a single character. Now there are parts of the argument I disagree with but that's a whole different thing. But this comes back to the whole "contribute to the conversation." thing. You seem to be trying to end the conversation rather then contribute to it or have a discussion (That thing these forums are for.).

I agree. I was actually looking forward to getting the Woad set for my WAR. It seemed like the perfect set for it but then I noticed the tank set has this stupid shoulder pad thing that obstructs the tattoo all the other Woad sets get. Which is odd since Broken Mountain (The HW mentor for WAR.) is wearing the Woad set without the shoulder pad. So it's a little weird...

It would be more constructive to request a similar item in the existing glamour gear request thread, than to re-write the established game lore because you want a glamour. If you want one-legged pants, ask for that and see where it takes you.

Personally, I'd rather there be more restrictions on what you can glamour (bikinis in dungeons is dumb, imo).

Agreed, though I was merely using the BRD pants as an overall example. I still agree that a job's artifact gear should remain exclusive to them. I'm just also giving arguments for both sides really cause I enjoy discussion.

(Also yeah, the bikini thing is kinda derp.)

Honestly, the glamour restriction is kinda pointless at this point. Tanks have always been able to wear cowls, robes and such to look like a (low level) mage. Heck, the Halloween event from two years ago rewarded us with gear that is very Black Mage-like in design.

Mages, on the other hand... we can't even wear harnesses or subligars :T

Except no one here has said anything about any of that...
They only said they would like to wear a pair of boots and a jacket using a system that already lets you make armor look like a bikini.
There may be a few people who can snowball and ask for such things but they are few and will usually fade away if you just ignore them. :-B
