it will allow them to farm stuff in the new areasDepends on how much money they make from this game already. For big MMOs like WoW dropping money isn't an issue because they'll make it back almost instantly. For other games with money gates, they usually just steal accounts or spam on free trials. But as long as they can spam the chat, the level of the character really doesn't matter.
I don't see why they would need a max level character.
here my opinion on jump potion
first i think they shouldn't be a job jump potion this reduce the harm that done to content and players not learn they jobs very well second. player who jump get chosen one job then and mlsq i personal love the mainline story quest.
a jump potion would skip to quests lead up to heavensward. period they still have do the mainline quest in heavensward. i think mainline quest is best part of ffxiv realm reborn. i think jump potion is bitten of a drag on rest of community. I think if we come up with helpful walkthrough for the mainline quest it be better. when i came back i was able lvl 2 jobs to 50 through entire mainline quest series. ninja and bard.
Actually Elder Scrolls Online does rent storage. Inventory is at a premium, when you get an optional sub you get an infinite crafting bag for all your mats that is let me tell you, amazing. I know its not F2P but B2P but still the sub "rents" you the inventory space, and not continuing the sub causes you to lose it. So in a sense you are renting inventory space. So VTXShiva is correct.
You never said hitting level 70. In fact, the point she was quoting you on, said ARR to SB ... which means, the stopping point is the end of HW and the starting point of SB, not the ending point of SB.
Now, you may have thought you were saying "all the way from the start of ARR to the end of SB" but ... that's not what you typed in.

When you "rent" storage in ESO (which is then unlimited) you also gain access to all DLC and other bonuses. When your subscription runs out, you still get access to the items in the storage box but cannot put any new items inside. Also, ESO provides you with cash shop currency when you subscribe, so you can buy cosmetic stuff from the cash shops (including the DLCs).Actually Elder Scrolls Online does rent storage. Hence, you don't really "rent" storage in ESO, when you subscribe you gain a large array of benefits (the main one is the access to all DLCs, and there is a fair amount of stuff to do in those) and that extended inventory is one of them.
Teso might have one of the fairest cash shop I've ever seen (with LoL's one), because it doesn't rely on the player frustration to sell you stuff. Also, as already stated, TESO is a B2P game without any mandatory subscription fee (and the game can be played fine without any subscription), which isn't the same as FFXIV (a game with a mandatory subscription fee). Despite what VTXShiva is saying, I can guarantee you players won't take kindly if the leveling experience becomes artificially bloated so SE can sell potion despite the subscription cost.
The MMORPG market is a very volatile one and more than a few games have collapsed over small bad design decisions which totally ruined some aspects of the game (wildstar is a good example, but wow isn't doing that hot). ALso, you re basically saying what I do, but I can guarantee you a jumping potion is a fast-track toward flawed leveling design. Already, the fact that you cannot start expansion's MSQ without finishing the previous expansion one is a red flag. The "threat" is cute but you misunderstand. If they do something bad, they'll suffer for it based on market demands etc. If the product isn't good it stops being bought. Of COURSE it's in their best interest to make it balanced, or specifically, a worthwhile product.
But "balanced' is a very vague nebulous and subjective term we can argue over until the end of time.
Moreso the word itself is a term that focuses on the control of ups and downs. It's not "in balance" if everything is good, or everything is bad.

I'm not gonna do the extreme thing and be all I'm quitting if they do this or the dev team are jerks for doing this but... I don't like it at all. I don't want someone else to have access to what took me 3ish years to gain if they didn't do the same work. Yoshi made one comment that really stood out to me about a friend saying I really wanna try stormblood but I can't catch up... No one should be trying to play stormblood, they should be playing all of xiv. If they don't want to play the full game they shouldn't be playing the newest parts. This is an expansion not a sequel.
I have already undersood his/her point. Even then the story of HW did not finish yet.You never said hitting level 70. In fact, the point she was quoting you on, said ARR to SB ... which means, the stopping point is the end of HW and the starting point of SB, not the ending point of SB.

And they never mentioned how much time it took them or whether they skipped CS or not.
Or if they had help from friends.
I have an alt on another server and I can tell you this. Leveling your alt and finishing the MSQ is much faster than leveling your main and completing the story for the very first time. You basiclally know what to do and where to go.

"BAAAAAARD!" - 2018
Sadly its the new gamers now days.
I want a big long and expensive game play but let me have all the things from the start.
Its like why pay for 3 games and play 10-5% of it only.
This will mess with crafting classes, nobody will be buying the low tier gear when leveling :/
