Additionally, I'd add mobs being able to break the aggro table and target another person, thereby forcing the tank to quickly reestablish threat. Proper balances would need to be in place so things didn't get too hectic, but it adds a degree of dynamism.
    - Two extreme primals-- one being at Thordan's level.
    - The Raid being extended to six fights.
    - Difficulty as a whole being upscaled, particularly in normal mode raids. While still remaining easy enough, it should pose some challenge.
    - I would also strongly consider weakening healing potency depending on how much mob damage is improved. Being able to DPS as a healer is fun, however content should challenge their healing capabilities not have them spend most of their time spamming Stone III or Gravity.
    - Scrap the current glamour system and allow us to improve old gear to equivalent ilvls-- thereby providing a grindy mechanic people may actually want to do since they're improving gear they like.
    - Following along the above, consider a system where we improve our gear similar to how we do our Anima, except by use of tomestones. Instead of them being capped, the amount we can improve our gear is. This allows people to upgrade secondary jobs a bit faster. (Giving Kaurie credit here)

These are just some ideas off the top of my head. Not all are fleshed out enough and still need some fine tuning, but there they are.
I can get behind this! +1 from me ^^

What id like to see, is something kinda like Diadem nodes, except ofc Stealth not working.
Where its a fight for survival to reach the node. My question is, why do we not have deep caves and mines on the overworld? The only thing we have is the kobolds in Outer La Noscea, Or the dragon area NW in the Forelands. Why not make 1 or 2 nodes that spawn inside these caves? Where we have to fight creatures to reach them, then switch to a DoL class to gather.

This game is lacking the adventure and mystery aspect of an RPG. I guess maybe FF15 has opened my eyes to a few possibilities in terms of fishing and gathering lol.

The 1 hour window for nodes is absolutely ridiculous too, or should i say "55 eorzean minutes."

FFXIV is entirely generic when it comes to MMO end-games, they ALL have that formula because the prime design requirement of end-games is to keep the hamsters on the treadmill so they continue to pay!

I play 6 MMOs at least once a week, and they ALL are like this at level cap. Maybe there is one that isn't, if so I've not found it yet.

Odds are the base system won't budge. New decorations, same broken Christmas tree. Any of the drastic and desperately needed change won't happen because it won't fit in Yoshida's vision of 'what FFXIV is'. He's the main reason why I feel like the game is doomed, another year or two maybe.

Remind me how it worked before!

But seriously. The game is successful because of what it is today and when you deviate from that too much then you risk destroying whatever attracted people to it.

If course there's things that could be fixed but nothing too drastic needs changed.

I dare say every MMO with "progression" at endgame is going to be like that because the treadmill is entirely a progression treadmill - you run in order to increase numbers. A bit more Agi, offensive spell rating, earth resistance, poison potency - whatever. What numbers you increase differs in each game and also how the treadmill looks like (Raiding, Dungeons, Battlegrounds, Arenas, Sieges, Open World Events). But in the end, it's all the same - a grind for number increases. The cookie clicker principle, press here for +1 cookies.

That's not even different from the game before the endgame, where you grind XP to increase numbers and get new abilities that, guess what, increase your numbers.

It's pretty standard for RPGs (Less so for shooters). I can understand when people complain about the treadmill going to slow or too fast for them, if they complain there's a repeating hole in the treadmill they have to avoid, the treadmill isn't broad enough or too broad or whatever. But complaining about the treadmill itself is, uh...yeah. It's pretty much complaining that there's still progression at endgame.

I believe he said they would continue using the god awful normal raid drop system in 4.0, so no, same ol cookie cutter patch rotation

Instead of bolts and shafts, it'll be what? Enchanted feathers and engraved sticks? Or maybe Garlean Bolts and Garlean Shafts.

    Kill me.
