Pretty sure a comment was dropped by the devs a while back that they might have considered Chemist for HW but scrapped it for Astrologian.

Even if you ignore the DoH dilemma, every weapon they have been known to wield also has seemingly been taken already, so hoping for Chemist at this point is like still holding a torch for the Thief job.

Then again, I suppose it's not impossible, XIV has taken some liberties in the series.
