    @ruby, Legacy servers are usually the most populated servers and have old-timers from 1.0 from what I could gather.
    Personally I don't think Gilgamesh is that populated, most actually transferred to Leviathan or Balmung. I'm not sure how active Balmung is but from what I have heard and read, it's very active and highly populated (maybe the biggest server of all JP/NA/EU?).

    That may have been true in the past, but there's really no difference between the two now, thanks to server transfers. Plenty of people from 1.0 on all servers now.

    Thanks Everyone!

    I had a notion that my legacy account had to use a legacy server... This must not be so.
    Yes I am on Excalibur and it is a NA server although activity really drops off around 7pm PST. Seems the more active hours are early afternoon about 3 hours before I get off work.

    I'm going to take all your advice on the servers mentioned and make a few characters on them to see what populations are like.
