    No. Gawddamnit I haven't seen such a pointless (and ignorant) statement in a long while.

    There is a lot wrong with this, and would basically ruin a lot of what makes the game fun to play. I have never really been a social MMO player but the DF gets you into a group without you actually having to make the group. Its amazing. Doing what you suggest is just terrible.

    The early dungeons are there to teach you how to group and slowly brings things as you progress through them.Bosses, Mob/threat control, AoEs, differnt battle mechanics etc. Taking away this would basically cause all new players to be useless, clueless and lost in end game content.

    This would also do the exact opposite of alleviating wait times for new players.

    There is more wrong with this but I'm not getting into that.

    Just... seriously dude come on.

    Old thread, but level sync is the single worst portion of this game. Locking you out of abilities and power is such an anti-RPG thing to do and there's a reason no other MMOs do it

    Prob the only thing I dislike about this game.

    I also hate level sync with a passion, it's why I refuse to touch ARF anymore. Losing out on so much MP as a Healer is one thing, but having my numbers cut by 25% to "increase the difficulty" (more like increase the tedium and make me more likely to unsub) is bullshit.

    I'm a Lv60 Dark Knight. I run Alexander content once a week, my roulettes also. I find that as much as I like this game it becomes stagnant very quick. I don't like the idea that there are only two expert roulette dungeons. I would be totally willing to run all the other dungeons in game if instead of my current job level being scaled down to the dungeon level (i.e Level Sync) but instead the dungeon difficulty being scaled up based on the average level of the players who enter. I'm sure there are technical hurdles to this but I think this would be a great idea.

    One hurdle would be to make it abuse-proof:
    1) Nothing prevents people from queuing for a dungeon at its minimum item level to have it scaled appropriate, only to then switch to the high end gear of that job
    2) Weapon, chest and legs have the biggest influence on stats, but they are equally weighted as an accessory for average item level. You can thus skew the average item level by unequipping accessories without impacting performance proportionally.
    3) Just because you have 3 people at i265 doesn't mean the last one in i210 can keep up with a dungeon scaled to the group's average.

    And while point 1 and 2 are not applicable for actual levels because they only affect items, point 3 remains - A level 15 tank in Sastasha likely can't do anything if the dungeon is scaled for people at 60 with i260. New tanks frequently struggle with aggro as is.

    It's pretty hard to do "right".

    I don't mind the ilvl syncs since even at the lvl they are implemented leave you pretty "powerful" for the content. If anything i with the ilvl syncs were closer to the recommended ilvl. Still I cn see why some people are frustrated with it, specially in cases like ARF. Ive seen so many tanks in that run in do the first pull and not even bother with a single def cd, then immediately move to blame the healer for them dying XD Guess they forget the part were their ilvl is 180 in there >.> Still id call that a tank issue not an ilvl sync issue, if anything i think ARF is the best example of ilvl sync done right. Its just at the point were the thing that will make you run it smoothly and fast is your knowledge of your job, without slowing you drastically if you aren't efficient with said job either

    Its not shitty. The dungeons get ilvl synced because you'll have new and completly undergeared people compared to yourself. It would be the most stupid thing to change that because the frustration of new players would be endless and that is a point that you want to avoid as a developer...
