To be fair, the other loot system they have in place for some of the trials makes more sense, where within 10 runs you either have a stab at getting your weapon drop as RNG, or turn in the 10 tokens you automatically obtained one per run. Wish they applied it everywhere else. People got other stuff to do with their time than to lose rolls to tunnel vision programming.
RNG is fine if it's done right. When you look a t the ex primal loot system it's almost perfect.

Primary source of loot is RNG with a secondary source is from tokens you get from wins. X number of tokens can be traded for an item of your choice if RNG hasn't rewarded you.

The only way the system could be better is if the tokens didn't take inventory space.

I said in another thread it's a system that should be implemented a cross all content.

Even Alex. for example Clear a9 get the RNG drops as usual. But also get a token of some form. So if you've cleared a9 X number of times and still not won your bolt or chain from RNG. You can still spend your tokens on getting one. If one you do win the roll then you can spend your tokens on something else instead just like primals. Guarantees progression so you can't lose. But you can still win.

Would work in 24 man raids as well. Keep losing the roll on the body you want. No problem if you've done it X number of times you can buy it with your tokens instead..
