To be honest, I feel bad for all the people who worked so hard to make the story and cut scenes.

It won't be soon before we see cash shop items which temporarily increase HP, MP, and other stats.
Probably will see Reraise potions soon too.

Thank goodness for YouTube. I can just watch the rest of the story cutscenes on there without having to pay a subscription fee.

But now with these kinds of items, I will not play again.

I have, in almost all cases, hated games with items like this.
Quality of players will decrease and, since most of the game requires cooperation with other players, quality of game will decrease.

I strongly disagree with the decision and reasons made in the post.
I'm afraid you'll find that these days there are very few online games that don't offer a service like this. WoW does it. GW2 does it. SWTOR does it. Frankly FF14 is currently one of the few which don't do it.

That's a great Idea BUT i think you should add a special job tutorial for those who haven't played tha game and just started with Jump Potion, otherwise it may really make it painful for new players or veterans. Situations where bosses, dungeons become more complicated as you progress through the game teach you how to handle your job properly and by skipping this part it will make a TOO BIG gap in experience. So a little tutorial (or a big one) will be nice, I know there is a tutorial lvl15 quest, but it's too basic to apply to an end-game content in my opinion.
I'm glad that there's a way to new players enjoy the game and end-game content.

Talk about taking it to the extreme. They are able to catch up and play with their friends without having to grind out the game alone or inconveniencing their friends. I mean yeah I'd help my brother or any friend who would like to play but I'd be more annoyed with the process myself. Just reminds me of a complaint about minimum wage and someone mentioned "Why stop at $15, makes it $100". It's not going to kill you or the game to let people pay to catch up.

I'm in full support of jump potions and they should come bundled like WoW upon purchase (one use). Granted, I would strongly suggest a tutorial stage to come together with the use of a jump potion.

No opinion on which jump potion to introduce. Both is fine and if combined together would be better.

This never going to happen. It actually takes work and effort to implement something like this.

Why add a job tutorial when you can make 6 figures selling a potion?

That's why I chose this game. Because it didn't have those things.
But now that it does...well I'm uninstalling it right now.

EDIT: Wanted to add one reason why I feel strongly about this.
Already, we get people in groups who do not know how to play.
    They waste everyone else's time.

We wait 30 minutes, an hour, or more for a group sometimes. We finally get the group. Then we get a player who knows nothing and wastes the precious time of the other players.
I think most of us have jobs and families and many responsibilities. We want to make the most of the little time we have to play the game.

But when that time is wasted because someone lacking experience is there, it is very bad for everyone else.
Especially people who queue "Completion" but can't even survive past the first phase.

These potions will just increase these kinds of problems.
No. No, we don't need any more of this. I don't. You don't. The community doesn't. NO ONE wants more bad, inexperienced players.

These potions will create countless problems, while fixing one.

Is jumping Pay to win? As long as it doesn't jump to cap with relevant gear then no. It's pay to participate which to some is the real offense.
Does jump potions make SE greedy? Maybe. Should jumping be free though?
Does jump potions make SE lazy? How is a player wanting to skip content make SE the lazy ones? Could argue that there should be more tutorials built in and not having them is lazy.
Does jump potions make bad players? Bad players are usually one of two things, unaware or uninterested in improving. Jumping does lower the time to become "aware" but its not like the game is really good at teaching jobs as is. Going 1-50/60 isn't going to make someone who doesn't care to get better any better (hello ice mages).

It seems that a lot of the communities' ire is really about feeling like someone jumping up is somehow invalidating or lowering the value of the time they spent. Additonally people are worried about being surrounded by the "bads" but they are already here. If jump potions could kill the XIV community then the community is a lot weaker and less tight knit then we think it is.
