The current playerbase wont improve unless it wants to. Most people dont care to be good, as evidenced by when asking said people why they arent using the full set of skills. "its too much work"
Someone in my FC just had a tank (a terrible one at that) post their playtime when they asked if they could dodge. This terrible tank has 401 days of playtime on their character... and they're still bad.
Trolls will utilize this potion as a mean to get back into the game quickly so they can attack players, gain access to restricted areas.
Currently abuses per service account are restricted so that even if a person is banned and returns at a later point they will get to 'redo' their mistakes, and they're doing it more cautiously while still using offensive behavior.
Now they don't even have to server transfer, they just make a character and the show begins. I'm okay with a story skip potion, but I don't want to see an instant Heavensward character.
I'd rather they just fix the grind and remove fetch quests from the MSQ.
A player should be able to 1-60 on *just* the main story. And make the experience for dungeons enough to unlock the next dungeon.
I.E. Totorak should take you from 24 to 28 for Haukke Manor, and Haukke Manor should give enough experience to 32.
Pretty much. Players who want to be good at the game and improve themselves will do so, regardless of whether they use a jump potion or not. In fact I'd think it would be these kinds of players who are far more likely to use these to skip the story. Spamming skip cutscene, performing fetch quests, and running faceroll dungeons won't make you a good player.
I'm all for the jump potions, they will do more good than harm.
