Titles on Mog Station

Simple solution for that is to add the same title every year for that one seasonal event. That way if someone wants the title it's only a matter of time instead of feeling "left out" or out of luck just because you were taking a break, or didn't knew about the game before, or whatever.

Against it for the same reasons as Lambdafish. IMHO titles should be a "Yes, I did it!" kind of thing. I could rant on how unsynced stuff is ruining even that but maybe I shouldn't

How about making some of the more special titles account wide instead?

I'm with you 100% on this. Don't put titles on the mogstation, but making them account wide seems like a good idea (heck, just make achievements account-wide as well)

Maybe seasonal achievements, but a lot of people like making alts in order to obtain those achievements again. There isn't much point to alts other than that (and for crafting if you bork the system).

Other than wanting to have every desynth, there really isn't much point to alts beyond visuals and aesthetics (both of which I completely get - the latter one especially). There are enough grindy achievements (craft x of y-z level, gather 5000 in this level node) that I can't imagine wanting to repeat them. For the non grindy cheevos, you're likely right, there are people who enjoy part of the experience.

Still, I think account wide would be a net gain for most players.

You might not, but others like starting with a clean slate. If that were the case then making it account wide is pointless anyway because alts are useless.

The titles are one of the few unique things you get for participation at the time.
Don't try to remove their exclusivity! Titles are often worn to show off a sense of accomplishments. When u see a Wanderers Shadow I know they took the time to explore Eorzea before the calamity. If I see a half-baked hero, I know they really enjoyed that particular Easter event.

If you could straight up buy titles, then the titles themselves lose all meaning.

I am OK with items but not with the title. Like I have been playing a long time. I earned those titles. Just like how 1.0 characters have their tattoo which I will never get because I wasn't there. Why should people get titles for events they didn't attend?

maybe have it so you can only buy the title if you have completed the event on a character on the account previously or just have it so event titles are shared on the entire account
