I want to catch a wild chocobo ! :P Alright a bit selfish, but ya.
Pups is something they came up with in FFXI and I've never tried the fake monks myself so I tend to forget, but yeah there are puppets in FFXIV too right? Why not? What? no pup?! BLASPHEMY!
This is final fantasy, since when have they ever, in any game, mounted anything but chocobos
i hate to say it, but if you really want to have a huge variety of mounts, this is the wrong game

Yeah, in Final Fantasy we ride chocobos. That's not to say that we can't have a large variety of chocobos, however.
Agreed, a lot of the appeal to final fantasy games is the re-use of things we have grown to love over the years, chocobos, moogles, mob types etc. This is one reason I think they should bring back traditional jobs, nostalgia sells and keeps players emotional attached the game. Also it attracts more players who have played single player FF games before but not the MMO. I realize that’s now gone off topic but yea stick with chocobos
Something MMOs don't do (that I know of) is give you the ability to put equipable items on your mounts. Let us dress up our chocobos with armor and stuff!
No pets, instead, Personal Chocobo Ranch and Chocobo Mounts with chocobo customization through gear acquisition or manufacturing.
As a matter of fact, if there was a Chocobo Farm to rise your chocobos and the possibility of capturing wild chocobos, or looking for abandoned chocobo eggs in dungeons, FFXIV would be the BEST game ever. I mean, if you have nothing to do, go cook rations for your chocobo, or to play with it...
Another thing I miss in Final Fantasy XIV, that was present in earlier FF titles are the Chocobo Races...Thats a lot, but those are things that make the game so much better that it can even make a game the best game of all times. lol

Llan Hana.
