(At least, have the decency to keep context when cropping text. As an attempt to drag this off-topic you get full marks, though. Any more substantial thoughts on the rest of my reply?).

You bolded it, but I guess you do not understand it.
"Currency gear and raid gear are ultimately the same" is what I said, talking ilevels. ULTIMATELY. You start out buying the i260. If you raid, you can get the upgrade to i270 as a raid drop. If you do not raid, you have to wait a bit, but you will still be able to get the upgrade item to i270. It should come from the next 24 man instance somehow.
As for the rest of your post, you are incorrect. This is a MMO. MMORPG's are not the same as single player RPG's. That, ultimately, is at the heart of your complaint, I think. And did I not say, early on, that raiding is difficult, but that grinding requires more effort? They reward those doing the more difficult encounters. Those unwilling to put challenge the harder content should not be getting the better gear on the same timeframe. Even single player RPG's, you want the best gear, you gotta do the hardest stuff.
Additionally .. raid drops are not always going to have the best secondary stats. Parry on tank gear, anyone?
There's not much context to someone saying they could easily clear savage raid content with minimal preparation/scheduling if they were interested in it. Hence my simple "lol" due to how silly your excuse is.
My point about WoW still stands, though. You can grind away in that game, and get really good gear if you grind enough!
Total Drops: 13. 8 gear pieces, 2 upgrade items, 1 weapon piece requirement, 1 mount, 1 minion. Just like how the mount hits the floor repeatedly after week 8 so does repetitive gear. The amount of drops? exactly 8 on first weekly clear, unless you're doing something wrong.
(wow! you get 9 pairs of drg boots from 8 coffers, in 1 week? that's truly something extraordinary, indeed. Would you share more details? I have DRG friends that might be interested.)
Your reading comprehension skills are truly... special. 9 pairs of drg boots in one week??? It's over the course of 11 weeks of getting the same thing, you wouldn't know because you don't even understand loot distribution.
You are really adding more work for you to explain how this is not good compared to the deal grinders get.
Yes, it’s clearly my reading. Guessing what you wanted to write might have worked better.
Everyone grinds to get anythiing in this game, not sure why you think you're special or any different. Other then your belief that spamming easy mode content should compete with content that actually requires brain cells.
It is entirely your reading skills.
Saddening having to read for youStill doesn't know the amount of drops from raids or how common repeat/useless drops are. (Getting 9 pairs of DRG boots, feels good)![]()
Sorry, but this currently does not apply. Raid gear is i270, currency gear is i260. Implicit promises and guesswork do not change the numbers.
On the contrary, I recognise that MMOers want to level their characters as quickly and with as little commitment as possible. The current raid system is precisely targeted at them. The rest of the (item) levelling at lv60 is just designed as a middle finger to anyone who might not take the MMO-ish approach, but is still willing to grind for longer and more. Given this is an FF title, it is both a stretch of game design and a questionable revenue strategy, since it seems to be promoting a “nothing more for you to grind; unsub and come back in X months”.
This doesn't match very well with the "clear? here's your equipment" paradigm.
I didn't even mention the idea that casual grinding ("spamming easy mode content") should deserve more; the problem is we're stuck with it and nothing further.
Sorry I didn't read the time period you didn't write.
