Sudden lag spikes and DCs on NA Data Centers?

At the very least it appears to be the Aether data server, I'm on Coeurl and had just renewed my subscription to the game today after nearly a month of not playing, and the game won't load for me, when it does, like said above, duty finder is broken and then it logs out.

Yeah, I just got bacck into the game, duty list wouldn't load, and about 5 minutes after I got in I got booted out of the game again with another 90006 Error.

Having that happen as well. Also character models taking forever to load and talking to npc's take a long time or not even working at all.

tried VPNing once I realised the extent of the problem, like last time, seems to work, so probably similiar to last round of issues

When you connect to the other game's servers, do you route through Level 3 at all? I'm curious.
Every time this happens, it's usually because Level 3 is going down, whether from a cut wire or a DDoS or whatever, it always seems to point to them.

I am not sure what that means... as I am not particularly technically inclined, sorry.

i am connected to Balmung from europe and no problems here. would this be again like last time, about 1,5 months ago. quite some friends from the US cant seem to connect to the data centers.

level 3 is a major internet backbone infrastructure provider, that has had some challenges, and a lot of traffic goes through them, whilst some do not, so if they are the culprit again, those who see their traffic routed through them have problems, while others who do not can be just fine. it's like having issues on one road, the city is still there and fine, but the route you want to take is, for lack of a better term, "wrecked"

Same issue. If it lets me log in, I last around 2-3 minutes before DC with either 90001 or 90002

I started lagging earlier while playing and saw a bunch of people with disconnect symbols in Limsa. Figured it was a temporary thing and left the game for a bit to watch TV. I come back now, an hour later, and I get an error 2002 connection error and cannot log in :/ I remember the same play of events from the last time there was an attack. Oh well...

Ah... well I wouldn't really know how to check that for the game as I play on PS4, and have no idea how to check something like that on the PS4
