I'm not sure of the connection the Yo-Kai Watch event has to FFXIV's development team though, so, anything is possible I guess.

Akihiro Hino (CEO of Level-5 the company that makes Yokai Watch) is friend of Yoshi-P and seems to also be a hardcore raider who likes difficult content.
