well my friend i understand what are you saying but the truth is tha the UI its beter and actualy you dont know how the game play its gonna be so ...i think that no one knows anything about the game play of version 2 .

Uniqueness in games is not what the UI ,Graphics ,sound brings but also the atmosphere, the world ,the comunity in the mmos, and the gameplay so ...who knows what it is gonna make you feel at the end my friend ??

also about choco? well have you ever played final fantasy FFXII ? go and see what chocobos are in the videos ? its not just mounts ,also have you ever played final fantasy VIII there was no Summoners as a class ..everyone could summon a primal in the battle "_"

Hey OP you should have gone to specsavers if you think ffxiv LOOKS like WoW, either that or upgrade your PC so you can turn some of the GFX settings up.

A MMORPG needs that features and server that deserve their title.

FFXIV 2.0 is the way to transform FFXIV into a great MMORPG. FFXIV 2.0 is finally the game that every MMORPG and FF's fans was waiting for.

And yes, WoW is funny, FFXIV is boring, for now.

This is just.. terrible.

The game looks like WoW, and everything about it sounds like every other MMO on the market. So much of the stuff they talk about (dungeon finder, achievements, etc) are just... sigh...

While it initially sounded good, the more I read, it just got worse and worse. I am absolutely disappointed in SE, they've gone and ruined what they were actually starting to fix and improve upon. I knew a new UI was coming, I knew a lot was coming... but all of this is just completely annoying and just... I'm just shocked that they actually did this.

Colossal disappointment... I don't even care that they're starting to charge money, I would've gladly kept paying right now... but after this, I just don't think so. :\

Only one thing that made me frown on the version 2.0...

"Level Progression will be done through quest instead of EXP" <- WTF!!?

edit: i understand its for the adv jobs but.. Uldah > Grid > uldah > Grid > Uldah > Grid isnt the way to level up.

I think it means the process of leveling up will be done primarily through questing, like every other MMO, rather than pure grinding like it is now.

Also, there will likely be many, many quest hubs scattered throughout all the zones. Cities will not be the only place to get quests.

Final Fantasy 6/7/8 all had this with summons

6 had each character equip an Esper
7 was Materia
and 8 each character equipped the summons as well

this would be just like that really.

Everything is still up in the air. Nothing has been finalized. If the community doesnt want it they will not add it in. Im pretty sure Ver2.0 is very important because how they are working on the game. How the game was programed is holding them back from improving or adding in content.

One or two months after 2.0 we will see there updates have larger volume of content.
