So because the healer isn't dpsing. You'd rather put your entire group at risk...
There is nothing that Selene can't heal. Sadly.

Really? Go to the tank and/or DPS forum and ask them how many times they've dropped while having a SCH in their party. Or better yet, next time your in a group that wipes, put all the blame on Selene and tell us how your group responds to it. Or even better than that, let Selene handle the next tank buster mechanic you face all on her own and see if the tank survives. Be sure to tell your tank and other members of your party not to bother with defensive CDs since there isn't anything your fairy can't heal.
The real sad truth is feeling like you're in the 'in crowd' when you make comments like this one, and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if 4.0 takes away some of embrace's potency, which by itself will eliminate the complacent scholars out there or make things MUCH harder for them.
I try my best to not make it hard on healers.
I've done many dungeons without healers (DCing, leaving due to real life issues, joining in progress without a healer). I play WAR and I try to keep myself alive.
When I started tanking I would ask healers if they had any trouble healing me, so far none had any issues with me.
Despite me doing large pulls and even sprinting between them.

"BAAAAAARD!" - 2018

>.> sometimes I pull more adds as a healer, I know I can tank those other adds while I wait for the tank to pick up the new adds, if they don't pick 'em up, then it's all good, I can heal through it. >.>

Any time I have to "work hard," it's usually a result of the dps doing something they shouldn't or not doing something they should. And even then, they would have to actively try to mess up every mechanic and stand in every AoE and cleave in order for me to wake up. Because as it stands, I can pretty much heal every dungeon in my sleep and still dps along the way.
And no, that's not me tooting my own horn. Dungeons are just far too easy.

I usually do two smaller group pulls in the beginning of a dungeon to assess the situation, depending on what kind of dps we have. If the mobs die quickly then i start pulling bigger groups. Usually works out and doesnt stress out the healer.
one thing I've learned a long time ago.... do not upset your healer.... i rather make the dps work harder or myself when playing tank. I stopped arguing with healers or forcing them to dps. Whatever they want to do, fine with me as long as someone casts a physick/cure here and there lol

I love how it's always a contest in these types of threads.
