I think it's a combination of bad luck, new games, Christmas getting close and just not much left to do until 3.5. Unfortunately, 3.4 didn't have that much meat if you aren't attempting Savage.

I've been bouncing between the two, and I can't really say I've noticed much of a difference. Was darkly amusing to log in last night and learn I was the only one with the permissions to put up company actions though.

Woah. O.O Either there is something going on or you and I just seem to have bad luck lately. Was starting to wonder if it had something to do with people being frustrated, and are taking it out on other players, while waiting for the new patch but I haven't really noticed this kind of change between previous patches. I too have ran in to more rude, lying, and grumpy people. Very rarely do I ever blacklist someone (except RMT) but have had to do so twice in the last three days. The others I couldn't because they weren't on my server.
I've been trying to laugh it off but only managed to do so when one of the butts I ran into in potd actually looked me up afterwards just to insult me and then promptly blacklist me before I had a chance to respond. That was kind of amusing I must say. The other ones though... oh, boy. They made me feel a bit shitty truth be told.
*hugs* Hang in there!
Feels the same as normal to me.
It's all luck, I think. My runs lately have actually become much better on average. Although I don't know how much of that is actually myself improving.

I don't know how it is now since it's been nearly a week now, but when I logged in on..wednesday or thursday, there was literally just a handful of people around (and we are usually a super active server with tons of players in each city alone). My friendlist was just non-existant.
Today I logged back in for a few min (but didn't leave rhe housing area) and found one of the few friends online who do not play 15; she said she barely logged in either because everyone was gone, pf empty and queues for df/rf taking ages.
She didn't say anything about the quality of players that are left though, so that might just be a coincidence
Anyway, don't worry, this is not a permanent thing. People always return to their MMOs after they finished their single-player games, it's just especially noticable this time because it's a FF game and most players in XIV are FF fans![]()

If people are getting THAT verbally abusive I believe you can report them. But you'd be better off leaving and taking the penalty. I know it sucks, but I've done this before when people were being rude to the point of abusive. Most would probably call me sensitive, and maybe I am a bit, but in the words of Danny Glover "I'm getting too old for this [rhymes with spit]."
Hmm I can't imagine the correlation between player quality and people busy playing Final Fantasy XV.
I could understand a drop in the overall active player population, but not just that only good players would be leaving for FF XV, with bad ones not interested and remaining in FF XIV.
Give it a week or two and people will be back from playing XV, plus 3.5 is next month so you know there be a big return of players then.

Seem to have longer queue times. I do CT every week for the Oil. I have been trying to get into World of Darkness all week, waiting as long as 64 minutes as tank and about 50 minutes as DPS and Healer before I give up and play Elder Scrolls Online.
