Is it me, or has the FF15 exodus lead to a drastic drop in player quality?

I haven't actually even played 14 in going on 22 days according to fc log, I'd say if there is a lack of players right now between new games and the constant routine that is 14, people are just done with the game for now or for good.

I pop in every other day or so, to socialise, but mostly spend time doing art, playing other games or catch up on anime. I have been like that for a month now. I noticed on our Discord that others are doing similar things. I mean, currently, the HW main story is over, we're setting up the stage for the next expansion, so there's not much to do, really. I don't raid anymore because of schedule reasons, so that's out of the window. I do RP, but being from Europe, most of the events are again too late for me, so scheduling goes in the way of that as well.

In my case I've been logging in less frequently because for the first time since playing this game from Feb 2015 I became bored. The fact we have to wait till mid January for the new patch didn't help this either. I'm just logging in for expert/leveling and usually take my leave then. I want to check out FFXV, but would first need to buy a PS4... xD

I did notice much longer queues this weekend for alex normal, Sophia ex and A9s going as healer and dps. The roulettes where about the same as before though.
Regarding better or worst players, no complaints, didnt notice difference there

Haven't noticed anything.

FFXV doesn't literally make individual players worse at FFXIV through playing or hearing about FFXV. Nor are only good players taking a break for it. So we're fine.

If anything some people are distracted but that affects statics more than PUGs probably.

They knew this was gonna happen that's why next patch is mid Jan when hype has died down.

People will come back when 3.5 comes out, there always a increase in players around a major patch.

I haven't logged on in a week personally, between the XV launch and the NMS patch taking up my time after work. Also, right now my logging on to XIV is 'chores mode' of doing weeklies and dailies for Tomestones and the like. Good to take a break from the game now and then, just means it's fresh when you get back.
