I've been toying around with the idea of making a gearset to be level 50 equivalent with the idea of unsynching stuff but still being at the 'proper' power level...

You'd never be at the "proper" power level, because you'd be level 60. Unless you've got some idea how to shave off 10 levels worth of stats (HP/MP too)
