they're definitely on Coeur. I probably get them first and most since my name starts with A. reported as harassment and got the copy paste reply you'd expect

Doesn't really work. The bots are (or seem to be) made to just abandon the party and probably start over every minute or whatever. You can join, and probably there are others that join, too, but the bots always leave, or (less likely) get banned fast.
Personally, tried joining just so I would have a name to click to report, but the report option isn't there unless they say something, which they never seem to do. Which, tbh, makes the marketing seem a little weak. They don't even advertise what they're all about; the only connection to the RMT sites they have is the player name.
So, yes, it's obvious to us that it's all bot spam and exactly where it comes from, but aside from the name, they haven't technically revealed RMT intent. And as we've all seen with the farm bots, reporting for a gibberish name isn't going to be 100% effective.
More, there's almost no point in adding anything to the list of banned character strings in names. They'll always find some new stupid way to get the name across, they'll keep adding apostrophes, X's and O's, etc etc. Filters are always stupidly easy to dodge.
Just in case no one has chimed in, we've got 'em on Faerie too. They're...innovative...I'll give them that. e_e
The only thing we need as I mentioned before is to give us the option to report straight away once we decline the party. Click on the name of the RMT and report. Right now we cannot do that. It gives us the blacklist option bit not the RMT report bit.
Could you please add this option too Admin and mods?
Thanks
I got one of them with the site name as their character name...except I wasn't invited to a party. They were shouting.
Somebody didn't get the memo as to why it would be a good idea...
You don't have to find them to report them, if they sent a party invite, it's in your chat log, open your chat log, and select the name, then send in a report pointing out you've been harassed by this 'character' using the name you copied from the chat log.
They are on Goblin too. I received two the other day.
God damn it... I just had one today... Well, guess who just dropped out of their expert roulette queue after it popped so they could finish writing their RP-esque report...
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
For the life of me, I can't understand how thing kind of thing is legal. RMT is against pretty much every single MMO's terms of service, and is a universally bannable offense. It's the digital equivalent of buying drugs. How have these people not been sued by a player who had bought something from them ignorant of the consequences? I mean, sure, lots of us don't have the time or the money to do so, but there has to be a millionaire or two who likes to peruse FF14 in their spare time, and is petty as heck. Where are those guys? I've LOVE to see pvpbank get slapped with a cease and desist.
You may as well ask how we still have people on the streets dealing drugs, despite the laws we have that make that sort of thing illegal. For the life of me, I can't understand how thing kind of thing is legal.
