Great news as of this post 59% of people say they will stay around and pay a monthly fee! So for every 5 people you see logged in every day only 2 of the 5 plan to quit!

I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!
I for one will have to see the billing system Square Enix introduces. If it stays the same as it currently is for Final Fantasy XI, I'll most likely be done with XIV as I am with XI. The 2.0 update looks awesome, I won't lie. However until that is implemented, I can't find a good reason to actually pay yet if I'll be charged in a very crappy way with crappy options. . . if they tack on the $12.99 which seems to be the a mere $2 below standard now, I'll probably just cancel my XIV, and play Star Wars: The Old Republic up until 2.0 comes out, either way I'll be playing Star Wars, whether or not I keep on playing XIV will greatly depend on how they introduce billing, since it'll be directly completing with that game which I've been waiting for for YEARS, and it's actually living up to what people hoped it to be, unlike XIV. Will it be a full price billing up until 2.0, or reduced then full price at 2.0? Will they have packet discounts like almost every other MMO, like say reduced charges for paying 3, 6, 12 months, or heck for us that have stuck with XIV, offer a Lifetime Fee? If they offer a Lifetime one time fee within reason, I'll pay it. Same for packages. I for one am hoping Square Enix doesn't get greedy with this. I really enjoyed this free year+, and I still am. I'm not complaining about the fact that billing will start, I knew it would come, merely of how they'll do it and the timing they choose.

If they don't rid themselves of click and buy beforehand i am gone until a new payment option is available. I had 3 random charges for random ammounts from them in the past few months and I had to dispute it with my bank and remove my info from the site.

While undecided about this move to p2p, i was leaning towards quitting, mainly cause it may enable SE to bring out poor quality products because fanboys will just keep feeding SE cash no matter how bad the product is.
But what i am starting to realize, is that i am a fkn fanboy. Since my introduction to jrpgs and Square in general when i first saw ffvii, I have loved every story, every art direction that the ff series has brought me. I want more SE, and while i will have that slight itch that ffxvi may not live up to its hype of 2.0. I so fkn want it too.
If taking my money to invest in what i saw in that concept art of 2.0, then so be it. Make it happen, SE.
Glad to see such a high number of people planning to stay compared to those jumping ship.
I was ready to pay on 1.18. Hell, I was ready to play after playing beta.
I don't think it's worth spending the money on now. I plan on popping back in around February and seeing how the job system turns out and see what I think then. Incidentally I like where this is going and am looking forward to 2.0.
so many similar topic and i do not know where to post this, so the actual amount to pay is around what.. $12.99/m? $9.99 for the account and $3.00 for character making it up to $12.99
Been playing this since beta and still enjoying it and finding stuff to do and achieve with my character, character is growing every day. and im so excited for version 2.0. will gladly pay to play the game in its current state. There are a lot worse games out there that charge to play lol.
I'm disgusted by the fact that more people voted yes than no, in the state it is in. Sheep...
