I think the only thing SE has to be careful about is the price, as many have said. I'm disheartened that so few people would be willing to pay, because in my eyes, SE has earned it. I'd gladly pay for XIV, because I can tell they know what they're doing and they sure are working hard for it!

I will mention though... I do not like the "style" of that new UI. Keep it the nice clean look we have now That looks like some hideous WoW thing. Make it go away.

Hi Oran! I just want to point something out to you. Please do not take this the wrong way, just another wya of looking at it. The devs are going to make a new game and in my country the sub price will be £10 a month. Now in a month or so the new Elder Scrolls will come out for £39, so by that I am going to pay £120 for this new game they are making. So in my opinion it is best to leave and come back in a year when the non alpha version is realised of the game.

I love the "make people pay" comments. They arent making anyone pay, if you dont think its worth 30-50 pennies a day, dont subscribe. But it seems to me, they kept it free a long time while they worked at fixing it, now things are moving along in the right direction, asking for that small amount a day to keep the entertainment flowing isn't unreasonable.

It's kind of hard to define an MMO as finished. I mean I feel like with 1.20 it'll be where it should have been at launch easily. MMOs as a genre though never really finish, they're constantly adding and changing things.

I think the biggest difference is that some MMO's add and change things like new content and mechanics, while other MMO's add and change things like fundamental game systems that are usually decided in closed testing a year after launch.

i like the 2.0 changes but this will not be the same game by then why should we pay for it.

This is a flat out BAD business decision. You want more people playing an MMO, not fewer. I think FFXIV might be the only game to ever go from F2P to P2P also...
