[Personal Opinion] FFXIV is too casual friendly

By the way, I can't remember if it was in this thread or another, but someone asked if I'd done The Vault yet... well, I did yesterday for the first time and... still not challenging? xD Maybe people have a weird definition of "challenge", but I don't consider something a challenge just because I have to move away from something or heal the tank.

Vault is mostly a healer check and you'd be surprised how many still fail.

play with lv1 gears if you want it more difficult >.>

For most dungeons, that only makes them take longer. There are so few actual mechanics. There is nothing wrong with asking something of players since many can handle things just fine... I'm willing to bet you saw "more difficult" and freaked out "omg, people want savage in dungeons nonono". People like to think in extremes when their little world is threatened.

However, if you want easy, wait until you're i260 to run Hullbreaker HM Keep in mind this game is rated T, so the playerbase DOES have the brainpower for harder mechanics if they stop being pampered.
