    Look, mass pulling is the norm now. If you don't do it then your going to annoy people, and they will react accordingly. Posting it in the forums like your going to change public opinion or in hopes that anyone here is going to remember your name when they get in their next dungeon is ridiculous. You can run outside and yell "I refuse to wear clothes!" but that's going to annoy people and they will act accordingly.

    That argument works both ways. Another player could say that he's not comfortable with large pulls and that it will turn his fun into stress instead, and as you put it, forcing him into pulling more will be stealing his fun time. That's really a subjective issue.

    But fortunatly there is players like you that understand and run with non-speed runners, unlike some others who have zero tolerance for people with different playstyle, equipment levels or skill levels than them in random matching parties.

    When a tank wants to go slow and only do small pulls I just spam Ruin and nothing else.

    I will add, that having waited for anywhere from 5-15 minutes on DF as a DPS with some regularity...
    And waiting at most 5-15 seconds as a tank...
    I will always appreciate that when DF pops at all after a wait, it's generally because there's a tank.
    So if the tank takes an extra 5 minutes, i'm still in the bonus because the tank is there at all.

    Plus, as others have said, if a dungeon takes 30+ minutes, it's not the size of the tank pulls exclusively to cause it.

    For me personally, part of the joy in this game (or MMOs in general) is that every party is different.

    This is actually one of the biggest disappointments for me with FFXIV. I really wanted larger dungeons with multiple paths and such. It seems almost like there is a lack of ambition when designing dungeons. They need to be 2-3 times the size we get, and have multiple paths with respawning monsters and resetting traps, not to mention roaming mobs. Ah well, perhaps one day...

    Indeed it goes both ways, and someone has just as much right to complain that pulling fast ruins their experience as I do for complaining about a slow pull. I was simply correcting the misunderstanding of the problem.

    Adding to this, it's funny how much poo tanks and healers get for not doing certain things, but DPS are free to slack off and netflix through everything. Apparently, that's perfectly fine and how dare we call them out on it.

    You can certainly speed up the dungeon by DPSing as a healer.
    In fact, small pulls actually allow you more time to dps, as you don't need to babysit the tank as much.

    One time, I got copperbell in roulette as AST.

    The warrior proceeded to grab every single mob from after the elevator till the first boss room.

    I saw him tag the first group, and then head off and grab the ones after... and then continue running...

    At that point I decided to turn cleric stance off because I would not have the oppertunity to use it.

    As he kept going I thought, I certainly hope he uses some cooldowns when he stops...



    But, we managed it.





    To everyone saying they'll screw around because the tank won't pull big groups.
    You're only making the run longer for yourselves.
