He's not wrong, though. The races we play as in XIV do not impact the story in any way (unless it's interacting with Beastman, who even then treat all playable races equally), nor does it affect your stats by a lot. Races in this game are pretty much a more expensive form of Glamour.

Yeah. I doubt that is going to change, either, unless we start getting race exclusive starter zones like certain other MMO's have. Even then WoW had a habit of introducing a new playable race - such as Worgen - only to not really have them contribute much to the overall story outside of a few specific scenarios. So I'd really prefer more customisation for the existing races - that's much more valuable in the long term too.

If this is the case then there is no real downside to adding a new one. XD
