Can we get rid of prisms please?

A glamour catalog still sounds like a massive hassle, TBH. So instead of perusing a small list of maybe 2-3 tabs, I'll have to scope through every single item I've ever gotten if I feel like modifying my glamour? No thanks. I prefer the current system, which let's me keep the glamours that are relevant to me and get rid of the rest.

Yeah and i know people which want the best loot from duty finder drops and one of my friends told me recently he should be able too buying crafted weapons from a vendor with a fixed price because they cost too much (where i facepalmed in chat *g*)



however only because my experince in my personal echo chamber is like this, this ideas are neither good foor the game nor a feature that should be priorized.

I wouldnt ask for that Im simply askin to be able to glam wherever ii want would u be upset if u could take 500 gil and glam each item as pleased any location in the game. That is what swtor does its so easy and so simple and i have no clue how anyone could be against it

Well, right now I glamour for free so yes.

I carry around cloth, alchemy, leatherworking primarily, and I also carry around ~12 armor pieces for glamouring

That's nice. I carry around a set of crafting gear, a set of gathering gear, along with gear that I just like to have on me for looks, not to mention gear for combat jobs! My retainer has a stack of clear prisms, a stack of vendor-bought undyed velveteen, a stack of gigantoad skins, a stack of alumen (probably would be better if I just turned those into toadskin leather, but I'm lazy), and a stack of silver ore. If I need to glamour something (which often involves WVR, LTW or GSM prisms), I'll just teleport to my FC house and grab prisms/mats from my retainer and quicksynth some prisms. Only takes me a few minutes at best.

No, I have a problem that I have to glamour over a piece of new gear in the first place. I also take issue with the unnecessary usage of inventory space.

That issue has been fixed with the reduction of the amount of prism grades.

There was more than just the 1 comparison. The initial post that you replied to have a direct comparison to all the systems of WoW, Wildstar and GW2. You then latched onto GW2.

No point in discussing something that I already agree with (the WoW and Wildstar systems being good). You seemed inclined to believe that the entirety of the GW2 system is good, while the transmutation charge system is terrible.

Having prisms is simply an unnecessary nuisance that adds little value to the game.

It adds a reliable income for low end crafters, but since you don't care about crafting, you don't care about that either.

That is a fair summary of our discussion. Obviously, this is all related to ones opinions and we've both clearly stated our own.

And with that, I'm dropping this particular discussion.

you can do it for free everyone cant and 500 gil is pennies that anyone can afford , Im not understanding really why ud want it not accessible to everyone just as easy

Do you change gear that often that you need them on hand? I just keep everything on a retainer and grab them when needed. Its not that much of a problem lol

Or, we could have Rift or WildStar's system and not have to carry around ANYTHING related to glamour and change outfits whenever we want...

Nothing would stop you from only learning the appearances of the few armor pieces you want. Good grief. -_-;

And would people stop assuming you pay with these other systems?? Making an outfit in Rift or WildStar costs ZERO plat. None. Completely free.

but it wouldnt BE 500 gil, it'd be 5000 gil, per piece. and that adds up quickly. even 500 gil can add up

I already dont have to carry around the stuff, its on a retainer.

and it would get rather difficult to sift through all the gear we can glamour, even in a log. theres hundreds of gear pieces in the game.

edit: according to a quick search on xivdb, there are 2,853 pieces of equipable gear for dow/dom jobs.
