    I think you said in your OP to list just 1 thing? I can't do that :\
    • Officially supported damage meter with enhanced information (crit rate, damage to specific mobs etc.)
    • A complete revamp of the secondary stat system (remove all current stats, add
      interesting stats that augment varying playstyles)
    • Future dungeon designs that do not follow the simple linear formula
    • Future dungeons with difficulty or mechanics that engage the user
    • Future raids that are large and open, rather than queued arenas
    • Crafting changed to be more simplistic, remove crafting gear and crafting skills
    • Gathering changed to be more simplistic, remove gathering gear and gathering skills
    • Talents trees added to allow for alternative builds
    • The class -> job system embraced, rather than scrapped
    • Inventory enhancements (Glamour wallet, token wallet, dye wallet i.e. Guild Wars 2, WoW systems)
    • Graphic enhancements (no more puddle-looking textures on rock faces, more detailed textures)
    • Less focus on innovative stuff, it isn't working imo (PotD, Aquapolis, Diadem, LoV, Wondrous Tails)
    • Reduced global cooldown
    • Reduced button bloat
    • Increased dye options, ability to dye multiple aspects of armor
    • Add swimming
    • Less interaction and confirmation windows (why do we interact with that thing after Faust in A9 to get down to the boss? Are you sure you want to use this item that is only available to be used for this one purpose?)
    • More horizontal progression paths (coincide with revamped secondary stats
    • The ability to gear multiple jobs to patch-relevant gear levels at the same time
    • Removal of Enochian
    • Removal of Wanderers Minuet

    I think that is it..

    I agree with most of your suggestions, except these, to which I disagree emphatically.

    While I can agree with the first 5 points on this quoted list, I'm kinda scratching my head on the 6th one. I get that you're specifically talking about the examples in the brackets, but the first 5 points would require just as much innovation. Innovative design for playstyles (point 1, 4, 5) and innovative dungeon design (point 2, 3). Perhaps innovative isn't the right word here?

    I enjoy the crafting and gathering in this game exactly because it's not just a "press one button, wait 3 seconds, crafting's done" system. Turning it into a system like that would just kill off a major part of the game for me.

    Which brings me to what I'd wish for:
    Specialist System. I'd like a better system that encourages crafters to specialise in something, rather than being forced into one. Something along the lines of specialists needing less materials to craft something.

    I enjoy the crafting and gathering in this game exactly because it's not just a "press one button, wait 3 seconds, crafting's done" system. Turning it into a system like that would just kill off a major part of the game for me.

    I italicized it, because I don't mean innovation literally. I mean it in the way that Yoshi and the dev team meant it. They said they are going to reduce dungeon content to provide more innovative content. I hope that helps clear it up?

    As for crafting, I like the systems in WoW, Guild Wars 2 and Wildstar, with Wildstar having the best system imo. It was fun side content you could do while you do your battle content. In this game, it's a huge pain to go gathering etc. Even if just gathering changed, I'd be happier.

    Because it's not side content in this game, unlike the games you mentioned. It's something you can actually focus on, put some thought in, and progress through. If it's a huge pain for you to go gathering, perhaps it simply isn't something for you, but there's plenty of players who enjoy it.
    Most of the additions on your list are good, because they add onto the battle system, but let's not "improve" the crafting/gathering system by taking away the things that a lot of players have been finding enjoyable for years.

    Indeed, the vast majority of my posts don't actually advocate the changes to crafting and gathering, for the simple reason that I know some people enjoy it. My selfish wish list, though, does want it to be changed. There is literally nothing I despise more in any video game, than the crafting and gathering system in FFXIV.
