And? Oh someone doesn't like how something they don't want to do is getting attention from the devs. Noted.I personally have never seen the appeal of PVP in a MMORPG, but that is just me. I see PVP as a place where it brings out the worst in peoples behaviour and such.
Like when I actually were pretty good in PVP in WOW, until I started getting people I killed make Alt characters on my server to send me death threats and harassed me to no end.
It kinda turned me off of PVP in MMOs at least for good. If I want PVP action, I play COD, Battlefield, Overwatch, as those games are not something I sink so many hours of my life into compared to XIV/MMOs.
That's... Not even close to relevant to what the quoted post was trying to say lol. Although you did sort of prove their concerns valid. You also might want to take a few deep breaths, seeing as your posts have been nothing but increasingly antagonistic for no legitimate reason. Please, if you wish to have your concerns noted, it would be in your best interest (and the community's) to provide a suggestion or expand your opinion beyond "If someone likes this change I need to discredit everything they say, no matter how irrelevant!"
It pretty much is. How else could you read it? This entire thread ranges from people being upset a minion was skill gated to how PVP is something they hate and that there shouldn't be rewards for PVP anyway.That's... And I like how you claim my response is similar to the 'death threats' he received. But I guess you had to stretch the context that far to criticize me so I am not surprised.
"I don't have the best experience with PVP in MMOs" =/= "I don't like PVP so no one should pay any attention to it" Also I was referring to the "bringing out people's worst behaviors and such" concerns, not the death threats.
Your main complaint about the minion itself appears to be the "effort" factor. The devs only announced that they will be providing an alternate method of obtaining it. This also =/= "No effort required, in fact, you don't even have to play PVP!" Considering the original plan was a level of exclusivity FFXIV hasn't really ever seen before when it comes to collectables, I don't think they'll make it as easy as you assume.
I finally have a reason to STOP BUYING, all your plush, soundtrack, art-books just to get these minions as I am an avid minion collector. I will not buy any future merchandise anymore. Thank you SE, THANK YOU VERY MUCH![]()

Did you happen to see the dev response before posting? ;P
Greetings,
Thank you for your feedback in regard to the Feast Season Three ranking rewards.
We have received a lot of feedback globally in regard to the minion given out as a reward for successfully ranking in the top 10 of Season Three, and after discussing the details of the rewards with the dev. team we have come to a conclusion to make the following changes.
- Add another method to obtain this minion
By completing a new achievement objective which is planned to be introduced in Patch 3.5, players will be able to obtain the same minion.
<br>- Add another reward
The minion will remain as a reward for players who successfully rank in the top 10; however, in addition to this, we will be introducing a new earring item with a unique design.
*The rewards page on the Lodestone has be updated to reflect this change.
We understand that there are players who have participated in Season Three of the Feast for these rewards, therefore, we did not want to take away and change the rewards. Instead we have made it so these players are able to obtain this minion earlier while giving other players a chance at obtaining the same minion by completing a new achievement objective that will be introduced after the conclusion of Season Three.
However, we did not want to discourage players already participating in the Feast for losing out on a reward, so we have decided to include a new earring along with the current reward.
Based on the feedback we received, we’ll make sure to be more careful when deciding which items to use for rewards, especially for items which would be difficult to obtain moving forward.
We thank you for your understanding, and appreciate all your feedback.
And pvp players are supposed to be the ones with the garbage attitudes, apparently.
As a minion collector, I really appreciate this, because some of us may not be as skilled in PVP as others. But I can totally see people complaining about "de-valuing" the minion by making it available elsewhere. I realize that you have probably already finalized this decision, but perhaps in addition to the earring, would it be possible to make The Feast minion a different color than the one being released elsewhere? (Kind of like the Grand Company Mamets) That way the minion obtained during The Feast won't be "de-valued" but people who aren't as good at PVP can still obtain a minion with the same shape and design, just a different color.
You guys are awesome. Thank you for all of your hard work.
