That has been in the game for a LONG time, go to "HUD Layout" and you can change each element size individually.
ps4 pro won't help a bit as long as the game doesn't get a proper pro patch. currently XIV is not scheduled for the games that have pro features on launch day.
without a patch the console simply disables half of the gpu and downclocks the cpu, so there are no enhancements.
ps4 framerate is usually acceptable, only in crowded areas I'm sometimes feeling that we're almost back to ps3 levels of performance. if we get a patch I hope they fix those god-awful real-time reflections that run at half the framerate or even lower.
imho it's too early for 4k and all those in-between upscales are a waste of computing power if most games still run lacklaster at 1080p.
You mentioned UI elements, i gave you the solution.
Now your complain is about text size, go to Character Config - Log Window Settings.
Maybe spend some time checking the options in the game before posting?
I don't have any issues with the text or any HUD elements and i also play at 1440p.

There's nothing in the log widow settings that affects cutscene dialogue box size and text. You should at least know what you're talking about if you're going to be snide. You mentioned UI elements, i gave you the solution.

And that's great that you don't have any issues, but that doesn't mean the issue doesn't exist.
In display settings, under "Default UI Size" Set "Default Size" to 120% (what i've set mine to for 1440p) and then click the button below "Apply All", this will override any other custom elements sizes you have previously set, but will set everything to 120% which i why i suppose i don't have text issues, then you have to set each element again individually.
As for text the tip i gave is for Chat box text, i use size 16 on all tabs.
Also there's the option for "Large" Map Font Size under UI Settings - General.
In UI Settings - HUD there's more options, such as Flying Text Size, but mine is set to Standard.
Sorry if i was rude, i've spent 3h of my life waiting for DF to pop Titan EX today so i can finish the Kettle Nexus and i'm very frustrated, sorry if i offended you.

Thanks, but I tried that already. The only option I've found that affects CS text is the High Res UI scaling, which only provides 3 options. To see what I'm talking about, talk to the Wandering Minsterel in Mor Dhona. Nothing else I've tried affects that text box in his CS.

Yours is much smaller?

He did, but he also said that each UI element could be changed individually. Unfortunately, we know at least one isn't. I could be wrong about it, and I hope I am. I'd kill for an editable ini file that would let me change want I wanted.
