How can the PCSX2 and PS3 be developed the same way as an emulator meant to run on PC, which you just pointed out processes things differently from consoles? You just contradicted yourself.
Consoles are not PC but the PS4 is a much closer to one than the PS3 ever was, the PS4 however for example doesn't have DirectX because it's Microsoft proprietary (not because it can't handle it) and the PS4 doesn't run Windows to begin with therefor it's already different from what the PC provides in terms of API, even if it was Linux it wouldn't have DX but OpenGL instead.

2. Because the PCSX2 Team used the Real PS2 to develope their Emulator and hence most of the Code is a mimic of the Real PS2 otherwise most of the Games wouldn't run at all.

4. The Link you gave me stated what RAM and Video RAM is, my reference was that the PS3 makes use of 256 System Ram and Video Ram and the GPU can even access the System RAM just while doing that, it is slower still is useful.

I've never stated that I only run FFXIV on my PC, like I said, my PC is used for other stuff.

I feel for you OP. I had to build a PC and start playing on that due to the degrading performance on the PS4 as idylshire got bigger. patch 3.0 was fine in idlyshire with tons of people. Now my PS4 can barely handle it.

While were on the topic of adding options, some new display scaling options would be nice. There's nothing for 1440p, so some UI elements are either too big or too small.

That has been in the game for a LONG time, go to "HUD Layout" and you can change each element size individually.

ps4 pro won't help a bit as long as the game doesn't get a proper pro patch. currently XIV is not scheduled for the games that have pro features on launch day.

without a patch the console simply disables half of the gpu and downclocks the cpu, so there are no enhancements.

ps4 framerate is usually acceptable, only in crowded areas I'm sometimes feeling that we're almost back to ps3 levels of performance. if we get a patch I hope they fix those god-awful real-time reflections that run at half the framerate or even lower.
imho it's too early for 4k and all those in-between upscales are a waste of computing power if most games still run lacklaster at 1080p.

Now your complain is about text size, go to Character Config - Log Window Settings.

Maybe spend some time checking the options in the game before posting?

I don't have any issues with the text or any HUD elements and i also play at 1440p.
