Game is ruined (FFXIV 2.0)

This is just.. terrible.

The game looks like WoW, and everything about it sounds like every other MMO on the market. So much of the stuff they talk about (dungeon finder, achievements, etc) are just... sigh...

While it initially sounded good, the more I read, it just got worse and worse. I am absolutely disappointed in SE, they've gone and ruined what they were actually starting to fix and improve upon. I knew a new UI was coming, I knew a lot was coming... but all of this is just completely annoying and just... I'm just shocked that they actually did this.

Colossal disappointment... I don't even care that they're starting to charge money, I would've gladly kept paying right now... but after this, I just don't think so. :\

No it isn't. FFXI closed down. It's just abyssea and voidwatch now.

This is true actually lol. FFXI is catering to the "just give us battle content, but at the same time, hand us everything with little to no work" crowd. XIV actually has a "rounded" feeling to it that XI used to have.

Which heavily ruined the balanced of the game for those who chose to play without them, just like every other MMO out there.

And it's entirely their fault for choosing not to use every resource available to them and to restrict the way in which they play.

The only thing that I don't like about what I have read is the dungeon finder. Everything else is spectacular! Edit: Add-ons do actually scare me too, WoW is such a joke with these. I never learned how to play my Mage without them, not that I care.

PvP, Improved Graphics Engine, Improved servers, A world actually worth running around.

Personally, I didn't play FFXI for the bad graphics or goofy mechanics. I played it because out of all MMOs (EVER) it was the only one to give you access to all jobs/classes on one character. And for the rich story that is behind every Final Fantasy.

Those two staples aren't going anywhere so unless another developer can offer that then I'm staying. Not a damn thing like WoW, just some features that have proven successful in it and other MMOs. It's asinine to deny the benefit of things that have proven successful purely out of spite, childish too.
