Game is ruined (FFXIV 2.0)

Which heavily ruined the balanced of the game for those who chose to play without them, just like every other MMO out there.

Opinions. IMO, Abyssea and SMN burns ruined the balance....not "add-ons" that should have been in the game in the first place (like auto sort)

It looks like they'll be charging post 1.20, when the game is 'retail ready'. I'm ok with that.

Ability to see TP in party/alliance windows (MP in alliance windows) - SE stated they hid this info for a reason (clutter), this is the one thing that should have been in.

Ability to see dead NM bodies and exactly where it moves to it's next spawn? Doesn't hurt balance at all.

Ability to 100% pinpoint VNM locations without checking? As well as have your character auto track it? Doesn't hurt balance at all.

A lot of add-ons for FFXI were balance breakers, so few were only cosmetic changes that didn't hurt game balance, i.e Draw Distance, notification sounds (i.e being checked/emote/different tell sounds) etc. So opinion? Sure, but there are solid facts that a lot of add-ons to XI were made with giving advantages over people in mind.

the things you are referring to aren't necessarily add-ons but performance enhancements, much like bots. There is a difference.

This guy's right. Tools like Windower/TParty/Spellcast/Blinkmenot/Parsers make things smoother for the player but they don't give them any sort of unfair advantage.

Bots and all that are under a different category.

This is just.. terrible.

The game looks like WoW, and everything about it sounds like every other MMO on the market. So much of the stuff they talk about (dungeon finder, achievements, etc) are just... sigh...

While it initially sounded good, the more I read, it just got worse and worse. I am absolutely disappointed in SE, they've gone and ruined what they were actually starting to fix and improve upon. I knew a new UI was coming, I knew a lot was coming... but all of this is just completely annoying and just... I'm just shocked that they actually did this.

Colossal disappointment... I don't even care that they're starting to charge money, I would've gladly kept paying right now... but after this, I just don't think so. :\
