RIP Minion Collectors :(

I can sympathize with the idea of collection being stunted, but I'm also of the mind to know that it doesn't matter in the end. Are you going to add your collection efforts to your job resume? Are you going to use this as bragging rights when you play other games? Will your achievement of collecting bring you lasting value long after you stop playing this game? Chances are, the answer is either "no" or "not really". You at least understand that you'll move on, so point to you on it.

I adressed this point in the response you quoted, but that point applies to the ENTIRE game. Everything in this game is "pointless" if you like at it from that perspective, collecting minions is in fact no more pointless or important than getting world first. Are people putting "World First A12S clear" on their CVs? I would hope not.

So its ok if they use something OTHER people collect as an exclusive reward just not what you like to collect huh.

It's not a matter of what I collect, it's simply a matter of them locking minions behind content in a way they have never done before. I don't get why your response has to be that snarky either, since it added absolutely nothing to the discussion.

Makes you wonder what is ok to make a exclusive reward in PvP.

How about the exclusive rewards they've had for season 1 and 2? Was their massive outcry that we needed more incentivising rewards in PVP? If their objective was to get people to play, why not add more minions that are redeemable via wolf marks like they did with the cheerleader?

People knew such rewards are coming since they said they will change rewards but now alot are complaining instead of saying "gratz to top10 sick minion". Why ppl want everything (in a easy way). There are so many exclusive items that u cant get why complain about this (like going to fanfest irl gg ez). Wolf mark rewards would be terrible ppl would go into pvp like in the past and afk for tomes/marks.

I don't see the problem to be honest, the ones putting the most effort into something should get the best results and rewards too.
It's a typical case of equality of opportunity vs equality of outcome.
And the latter one sucks. It really sucks hard.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, even if all the collectors stepped up and became champion PvPers, dominating both the solo and team brackets - as long as there's more than ten of them (and there ARE, bet your life on it), some of them are going to miss out. It's not exactly complex math we're talking about here. This isn't a problem that can be solved by gittin' gud. Collectors that have managed to stay up-to-date from the beginning have finally hit their wall. The exclusivity of these items is simply too high.

I feel for these guys, even the so-called whiners.
