Calo was at 15%, I plop LL down as the tank pulls her from Depth charge so I am in her AOE...but I should be okay as I was really close to her mid. Well about halfway through the circle of power she casts Haircut, I finish my cast & sprint the small number of feet to avoid it....but I fail. And just BARELY get hit.

Okay I have 50% of my hp. I need to survive so I use my shield thing & wait for heals. 3 seconds later & one tick. I glance up at the cast bars....Stone 3 & Broil. Okay, no big deal they have Lustrate, Bene, or Tetra to save me, I don't mind if they wanna dps a little...

6 seconds & another tick. Okay panicking now but I Fire IV away, confident they are casting Cur-Stone 3 & Broil.

9 seconds & I have a sliver of health left & at this point & am cursing myself for not being quick enough on the original hit.

And dead. 12 seconds without a cure. No one else was missing HP. No one. I shifting the blame from myself to the healers as I would definitely had healed a dying party member. Ironically my Fire IVs hit harder than Broil + Stone 3 combined...yet they just had to do their precious deeps <.<

I blame the healers as well, but it makes me wonder what Eos/Selene was doing...

Possibly out of range, but the SCH could've quite easily directed the fairy to heal them mid broil cast. Just lazy (or tunnel vision on dps) healers x3

A single Esuna/Leeches would've saved them. I developed a habit of precasting cleanse spells on people I know won't be able to get out of Haircut in time. There's no real need to even heal, I can let my fairy handle that. The first priority for anyone who's eaten a Haircut, if they're still alive, is cleanse.

I'm a SCH main, I know how it goes, which is why I was so curious about the faerie. I can get Selene's cleanse being down (I don't usually control her unless I know I need to), but there was still the lack of the faerie healing at all.

I tend to use Eos at Calo, so I cleanse whatever I have to by myself. That said, the fairy was either out of range or possibly even dead, and yes, I've run into SCHs who managed to not notice that their fairy was dead. Also, does Embrace spam outheal the bleed? I've never tried, but it's possible that the fairy did heal, and that it simply couldn't outheal the bleed.

No excuse for not cleansing the bleed, though. Unless you're dead, paralyzed, bound, dodging a critical AoE, performing a mechanic, or emergency-healing the tank, there's no excuse for not cleansing debuffs.

My brother asked my sister and me to go to a 50s roulette with him, he would heal, so he could hit 56 WHM. She went MNK, I went DRG. Now, these are alt classes, but she and I have 60 WHM, I have a 60 MNK, and he has a 60 DRG. So we can all support each other with suggestions. Makes up for us not being the best (this is important).

We get Pharos Sirius. Tank immediately runs off without Protect, running around corners just out of LoS, swinging the bad things every which way. But somehow, we get to the first boss. We tried burning the boss - but no, we are on alt classes (with level appropriate gear), and the dogs ate my brother. Second time, my sister and I are killing the adds that aren't being picked up. Yet, our brother gets eaten yet again. I look up the fight too, it was a long day at work, maybe I forgot something. No, kill the adds. So we do. While playing the hokey pokey as the tank turns himself around. And the tank explodes from the crystal three-stack.

At this point, I'm questioning if he's even using cooldowns.

The tank says we need to kill the boss. My sister points out the adds are eating our healer. My brother is told that he needs to stay close (he was patting your butt most of the time, dude). So my brother does, the tank does the hokey pokey, it's a spectacular wipe. I say the adds do need to die, and the tank initiates a vote abandon.

When we requeued for the roulette, I went as a tank. No problem at all (Tam-Tara HM, and had an 8 stack of Vulnerability on the first boss lol).

Tonight, doing floors 81-90. Monk, Summoner, Ninja, and Machinist. The Twelve did not see fit to allow us to complete these floors. Floor 81, hit a mimic, Smn gets pox'd. Two rooms later, monster down, drops a chest, OH HAI MIMIC. Nin gets pox'd. Okay, we can deal. Floor 82. Auto-heal disabled. Oh boy. Blast through it, but then the Mch gets pox'd at the end as well.Crawl through 83 knocking out mobs in bursts. Floor 84. Still no sign of Serenity or Purity pomanders in about a dozen chests. But we did get a Rage. Gloom! Alright, screw this, gonna Rage on through it..... except Knockback is also disabled >_> aaaand we wipe. GG no Re, SE.

I was tanking, and had two friends as DPS with me, so the healer was random. They were decently equipped so I went to do a large pull after they casted Protect. It didn't end well. As we regrouped, he said he wasn't ready for the pull. He didn't say anything, but everyone I know takes casting Protect as being ready.

At this point, I dropped down to single pulls. He tells me that I can pull more, I said "I'm not sure if you're ready yet."


His reply was linking the Sophia axe and telling me that *I* wasn't ready. I was wearing the i250 crafted axe with materia in it, so it wasn't like I was wearing completely outdated stuff. All of my group was like "Really?"

While his response was completely unnecessary, he probably reacted to your "I'm not sure if you're ready yet" as a very passive-aggressive statement, which, tbh, if I was running with a random who said that, I'd probably react the same way. Tone is pretty hard to infer in just text chat, unfortunately.

Anyways, for my tale of the day: I just want to say that I am glad Floors 51-100 of PotD are harder than the first 50 floors. It's very satisfying to see someone who thinks they're all that pull an entire room of mobs, and then get completely wrecked. Like the monk I had today during one run. I've had them before in a12, where they decided to Shoulder Tackle the boss before the healers even finished casting their buffs, and then complained when they died. Sorry to say, having an Alexandrian weapon doesn't make you invincible, dude. And it literally does nothing for you in PotD.

Unfortunately, they didn't learn from their mistakes, and would consistently pull 2-3 mobs all at once. They died about 10 times during that tier of floors. Also, when they were attacking a mimic, they would run away from it when it was casting Infatuation, so it would pox someone else instead. And admitted that they were doing as such. We really should have just kicked them. :/

Now I kinda want to test that. I am 99% sure it does not outheal the bleed (I usually burn a Lustrate just to make sure Leeches has time to go off, because my luck sucks at times), but I feel like the bleed just does too much per tic for Embrace to cover.

Also, just for curiosity's sake, is there a specific reason you use Eos over Selene for that fight?
