It depends on the price, but probably won't be playing until all the big changes are made.

NO.
The game is not at a state at all where it is worth paying 12-14$ per month and then EXTRA money for extra characters/retainers and whatnot.
Maybe when 2.0 comes out. But this is WAY too early imo.
I realize they have to cover "development costs", but what about all the money they made from game sales eh?
And the fact that they expect us to PAY to play a game that is still "In-between" being "finished"
ミ ´_>`)

why would they even think of charging before the maps/and job system are added redone. DERP

With this, it is my hope that we will continue to receive your support as we will need to bring the unbilled period to a close between late November and early December 2011, and introduce our subscription-based billing system

I'm all in with Final Fantasy XIV. I'm supposed to be retired from MMOs, dammit! But I had to come back for a newer, Final Fantasy-themed MMO.
And I love goblins.
I'll pay for this game. Keep up the good work, devs.

I'll be subscribing, I figure more money going in = more potential for faster development on the 2.0 changes. Plus, I'll be able to be part of a storyline that will completely disappear by the release of 2.0 and I'm a lore junkie for FF games.

Hey do all you people know that you can't replay the content before Version 2.0 after it's released?
You might as well play it, because it's stated in the slides they posted.

Its pretty obvious they are running out of funding, I'm satisfied enough to support them until the full redesign is complete. Notice how the game's going back into Free Trial a few months before the PS3 release -- they are just trying to get funding to keep going.
I think its good enough to be worth paying -- though I think they should offer different packages. I'd gladly pay 60-80 bucks for a year, but I'd prefer not to have to remember any more monthly payments (I have enough reoccurring bills already.)

I'll pay. I've been enjoying the game more and more lately. Plus they just tossed me a HUGE bone asking for faith and they stated why they deserve it. I'm very happy with this 2.0 outline.
Kudos Square. It's about damn time.
Seeing as I woulda paid close to launch anyway, of course I am paying.
Something for people to remember though who say this is an incomplete game...
just remember, this is about wher a launch game would be anyway.
5 endgame dungeons/bosses(ifrit, 3 strongholds, and darkhold)
2 low-mid game dungeons
several mini content events(behest, caravan, invasions)
and thats just a start of naming them off
and with all we have planned to come out, in the outline, its not like it wont surpass some games that have been out a while shortly(alot of games go pretty stagnant with content implants post launch)
