Same reason why we don't have bonus stats or set bonuses. Starts with the letter "L."Why can I not see in game how adding X points of Critical Hit or Determination affects my damage or how adding X points of Skill Speed reduces my global cool down?
It could be as simple as hovering over the stat in question and a box pops up showing you what your critical hit% and crit damage% are.

White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
It has nothing to do with L it's hand holding, the same reason we can't have a (legitimate) parser.
They wanted the game to be like a 'safe space' for players so they made far too many restrictions for 'our well being'.

I mean.
Not flat-out giving critical hit rates, how much a given stat affects damage dealt, or how much speed affects the rate your turn comes up is pretty common even in single-player RPGs.
It has nothing to do with limitations or hand-holding. It's just a staple of the genre.
FF14 2.0 was literally made to be very like WoW and they have had detailed stats for a while. interestingly enough they've went with the coddling approach to st sheets for their latest expansion but with them you can download a third party addon to restore it. With the introduction of savage they clearly want the serious raider and part of that is optimising your stats.I mean.

...Get your relevant numbers as big as possible? That's worked for me so far, I don't know about you.FF14 2.0 was literally made to be very like WoW and they have had detailed stats for a while. interestingly enough they've went with the coddling approach to st sheets for their latest expansion but with them you can download a third party addon to restore it. Granted, I don't raid, but - especially here on the forums - there's plenty of places where you can see which stats each job prefers. If you really want to see how everything works out, you might have to dig a bit deeper, but it's still findable. It shouldn't be a problem at all.

For the most part: Yes. But which stat gives you the biggest benefit is a bit more difficult to determine. Accuracy is probably the worst offender here - it's the most important sub-stat up to a point, then completely useless - and it's ONLY relevant in raiding/EX content. And there are 3 different caps for it - and they differ for each boss. Transparency where?!.
It should be noted that simply knowing your crit or spell speed percentages isn't going to tell you how much the stat contributes to your DPS. So the suggestion of this thread wouldn't actually help that. It would show how pitiful parry scales, but that's about it.

In the case of Accuracy, it does not have an actual cap. It has a point of maximum impact - which you note there are three different points and they differ for each boss - but that is encounter-specific, and front/flank/rear specific. Unfortunately, tooltips are written once, and then forgotten about, basically. They are not dynamic. They do not change based upon the content you are in, nor the value of the stat you are hovering over.
So long as tooltips are static, not dynamic, the desired "transparency" will not occur.
