You get 2 season to try to place on the top 100. So thatd technically 200 players who can get the mount reward.did you actually do any pvp?
anyone can do savage as well, but not everyone can clear it, it's same with pvp.
comparing bronze tier pvp with diamond, is like comparing FATEs to raids.
you need to be even more skilled as a PVPer, than raider, because you're actually fighting other ppl....who are smarter and not scripted like raids. you don't need to be skilled to do savage, you just need to memorize a pattern, and move accordingly.

Better in the feast than a China exclusive

Honestly i believe anything SE will do now with the mount will bring salt.
If they make it available to whoever achives say gold in PVP wintrading will be the norm. if they make it top 100 the rest will be salty cause its really hard to get it. If they make it "farmable" people will take the path of less resistance and will make Regualar PvP players salty.

SE, stop trying to make PVP happen! It's not going to happen!

Yeah.... about that

While I can't offer any details just yet, I am able to say that this mount can fly!

Incoming people ask for logic of how hellhound can fly.Yeah.... about that
http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/pr/blog/

ikr,
Hellhounds are actually known to fly or float in folklore. Specifically the Black shuck.
"A hellhound is a supernatural dog in folklore. A wide variety of ominous or hellish supernatural dogs occur in mythologies around the world. Features that have been attributed to hellhounds include mangled black fur, glowing red eyes, super strength or speed, ghostly or phantom characteristics, and a foul odor"
"Black Shuck or Old Shuck is the name given to a ghostly black dog said to roam the Norfolk, Essex, and Suffolk coastline. Black Shuck is sometimes referred to as the Doom Dog."
"This devil dog was said to have black fur, flaming eyes, sharp teeth and claws, and great strength."
"Sometimes Black Shuck has appeared headless, and at other times he appears to float on a carpet of mist. According to folklore, the spectre often haunts graveyards, sideroads, crossroads and dark forests. Black Shuck is also said to haunt the coast road between West Runton and Overstrand."
"All down the church in the midst of fire, the hellish monster flew, and, passing onward to the quire, he many people slew,"

I don't mind time-limited exclusive rewards. I also don't mind rewards being locked behind some sort of challenge or competition.
What I don't like is rewards locked behind both at the same time as it leaves many players with absolutely no chance of ever acquiring it no matter how much they try. I'm hoping this mount will be a recurring reward and not a one-off for this season.

Seasons 5 and Seasons 6 will have a new reward."In a previous episode of the official Japanese PvP stream "Adrenaline Rush TV" Yoshida mentioned that the rewards for the Feast will drastically change every two seasons. "
Season 1 and Season 2 reward was gear, they mentioned at Fanfest that items from pvp are exclusive to whatever season they come from. I think it was Joe never fails and Bayohne himself that commented about this on stage during the PVP Tournament at fanfest.

It sucks that so many mounts are gated behind content only a small minority of the player base even participates in :/
That said, I really don't care about the Hellhound and even if I did I wouldn't pick up PvP for it.
