Selfish behaviour for rare loot.

PUG= Pretty Untrust worthy group. Roll of the dice sort of thing he said Farm he farmed and left. Was there ever a point where he said until we all get something? It sucks I know but...move on. It is a game. You really have so much time in your day to report and follow up and stay pissed off at a complete strange'rs behavior?

It was my first time seeing this so naturally I was pissed the hell off. Farms by definition are supposed to be fair and make people stay. He violated what was said in pf after all. I'm not too mad about it anymore as I got my bird the other night but for future primals I will be filing tickets to gm's about this if I ever see it happen again. Luckily, with Sophia I can just farm Raid finder and she's the last bird i'm missing.

Don't get me wrong, I completely understand why you're upset and it was a jerk move.

That being said, in no world is this punishable (other then socially of course). It's within his every right to leave a party after he completes his objective. No where in the rules does it say he has to wait until everyone else gets loot. That is just silly. Although selfish, why should he wait around for you? He as far as the games concerned, owes you absolutely nothing.

As upset as you are (and should be) the only thing that could make this game worse is the demand that someone has to stay (possibly hours) in irrelevant content because not everyone got something special.

Also where do you draw the line? If he stayed for a few more runs despite no other drops, I'm sure this post wouldn't have been made, but how is that quantifiable to administer punishment? Where do you draw the line? 3 more runs? 2? 5?

What if it's a bad party? If it was enforced, now you cant disband until whatever time/runs expired.

And even IF they enforced it, which would be down right silly...I guarantee you you'll never find another pug group again in party finder, especially for older content. No one would force themselves into that. Only people who do that are in statics :P

In short, you cant enforce social norms or socially acceptable behavior to a degree. Yes everyone should say please and thank you, but you cant punish someone for not doing so obviously aside from socially outcasting them.

Sorry I don't mean to beat you down with this post, I just want you to know it has absolutely no backing if you bother to report this kind of thing again.

Unfortunately that happens a lot. I was in a Levi pony party before. I got pony first and leader next. Party disbanded because he has to go to a doctor. 5 mins later, he has PF for Titan pony. So yes it happens a lot for my tastes.

it will never happen, that a "farm group" stays until they got 8 mounts. Give it 1 hour or 2-3 mounts and people usually get bored and leave anyway

you shouldnt have any expectations when you join such groups and be happy if you are on of the 2-3 persons, who got lucky

For ponies, I usually see that happen for Leviathan due to the shield and little DPS mechanics.

Nobody signs a binding contract when they join farm parties, unfortunately.

If they dip out immediately or (more slyly, yet just as tasteless, "I'm tired, one more for me" etc.) a run or 2 after winning the loot, then remember this individual, let your friends/FC/linkshells know to keep an eye out for said player for such behavior if it pleases you, and avoid this person like the plague... Or deliciously call them out on it should they ever pop up in another farm party with you.

Me, I have quite the handful of names from my server written down in a notebook (blacklist is for RMT, mostly) detailing if they loot and leave in farm parties, whether it be Alexander or mount farms. Naming and shaming isn't allowed on these forums, but you can bet I'll do it in party-chat if I end up in a farm party with them again.

I guess be selfish in not 100/100 of the problem, he get lucky and din't want to continue, its selfish off course but why he disband .... give a lead is not hard.

Well you get used to it if you farm more. You don't want to know how often we had that before 3.0 during pony farms.
