What rule is this thread breaking?

Not a clue. I can't help but feel like some people see something wrong with it, though. Personally, I see nothing wrong with it. I just get a little irked myself when people come in saying, "That's enough!" They act like it hurts them in some way. "I'm just so tired of seeing this 37-page thread at the top!"

You know what? I get sick of the marriage partner thread, but you don't see me going in there, saying, "OMG, marriage means nothing in an online game! Stop it!"

In terms of Dancer and the girl in the video potentially being a Dancer, another idea is potentially Advanced Jobs. You unlock the new job with the level 60 of two other jobs. It could explain why she seems so similar to Monk in some respects, but so different in other ways.

Level 60 Bard + Monk = Dancer
Level 60 Ninja + Dark Knight = Samurai
Level 60 White Mage + Black Mage = Red Mage

You're actually speaking some kind of sense - you need to stop doing that in these parts. Most compelling idea/argument for the DNC side I've read in 35 pages!

(That's honestly a very cool idea and with the battle system changes, not entirely out of the question. The only issue would be making them unique and balancing them in such a way to not make the base jobs redundant.)

Definitely. The easiest way to do that with at least 2 of them above is to make the final role not equal to either of the contributing roles. For example, RDM => Tank and Dancer => Healer. That would be hard to pull off in a way that makes sense though (i.e. why would a Bard + Monk make a healer?).

I thought square was going to stop making classes like this, hence smn/sch. I mean its a bit different as you put it but 2 classes that make one may be a bit weird to manage skills, but then the revamped battle system which I have no clue what that's gonna be so.... /shrugs

Agreeing with whats-his-face tho, think it should be its own job, just so we wont have 30-70lvl class quests instead of 1-70 again (originally 30-60 from heavensward jobs). I still want Dancer though so whichever way makes it work :/

There was quite a bit of flame when SE locked the HW jobs behind 1 lv50 job and the 2.55 story, I don't think gating the SB new jobs behind 2 lv60 other jobs would be a good idea. And some comments from Yoshida after the HW release seemed to imply they would go the other way.

Possibly, I'd be in support of this - even if that means I need to level my Monk to 60 (ugh) in order to unlock Dancer. That said, I also think the class to job system is really good and is one the aspects of this game that hooked me into it initially.

Same. Final Fantasy Tactics is my favorite FF game of all time and a big part of that love is strategically leveling jobs to unlock other jobs.
