Just some toughts from (relativly) new player

I'm saying this as someone who made a speed slayer in Tera when every other slayer was crit and power. And I soloed 90% of Tera with my custom slayer. I'm not saying it doesn't work, what I meant by saying that is it IS pointless. You're right it is about the groups you are going to be running with. And what are 90% of them going to be running? The meta. Want a real world example? The Division. You have all kinds of builds in that game... what do people do? Smart cover or go home. IT's pretty much the meta until it's changed. And even with the update coming up in 2 days people in the chat of State of the game were trying to find a NEW meta. So again I'm not saying you're wrong, but it is pointless as most people want to follow and get instant results instead of trying new things out.And as long as that's the case the meta will be the standard and you will be laughed at if you don't do it. Another example is the dungeon thread on this site. How many times do people on this very game complain about people NOT doing the meta or not doing their job?

I'm not going to hope people will all of a sudden be understanding on going against the meta... as that doesn't happen.
