You are wrong. That refers to certain multi-player games where framerate affects player competition, nothing else.

I have heard that "better framerate is unfair" argument Sony made. And on the other side, they argue HDR and 4k will both improve players' experience, making their gameplay more competitive. They even sell specific controllers to improve gameplay. They can't improve framerate significantly and just try to cover it. Still, the logo refers to all game. They have/have not it = they benefit/do not benefit.

This right here is extremely wrong. PS4Pro does not have two GPUs, it's a single APU system.

The article says so. The 800MHz standard PS4 one and a second CrossFire 911MHz that can be shut down if not required.

Unlocked games will gain a benefit, locked games will need a patch. FFXIV doesn't use a locked framerate.

Nope, they will do nothing to the code in the PS3 client, there is no reason to, other than assets for content.

I actually cover tech and PlayPtation in particular, I've written for several news sites, and you are wrong about PS4Pro.

I won't argue about the PS4 Pro. Because Sony says nothing about it, except: "enjoy 4k/HDR". We can only speculate about untold features.
If you have written for several news sites, maybe you know people who could answer those questions:
- If a PS4 game doesn't have a PS4 Pro Enhanced logo, how will the PS4 Pro run it? With its own full power or will it lock itself to being a standard PS4?
- Does the PS4 Pro have enough extra power to run a 1080p PS4 game at a significantly better framerate?

It is true that what Sony did with the PS4 Pro is a nonsense to me. While they officially stated that the PS4 Pro is meant to keep players from moving to PC, they're indeed speeding up the process. Unless developers manage to use the significantly better GPU for significantly better framerate, the PS4 Pro will be useful to a really limited number of people.

Or developers manage to reduce the CPU's charge. PS4 and PS4 Pro using the same code, it would benefit both. Which is the purpose of this topic

(...)I don't go below 60FPS unless i'm in Towns, i don't know if there's this option on PS4, but on PC there's an option to limit the number of players visible, so even in Towns on PC i can maintain 60FPS if i limit the amount of characters displayed.

No option like that on PS4
