The broom has been my favorite mount for a year, at least for flying.

Your GW2 example seems backwards but that's how they do it I suppose. But subbing should never entitle you to PAST events, otherwise there's little incentive to sub full time.

A brand new player should not have free access to all the events that I've been subbed for and had to be subbed to access.

As for your electronics store example, it's flawed.
    1. Manufacturers set the price (MSRP). A store would never charge more than this because of competition.

    2. Because of the capitalist environment of other goods, prices will always push towards equilibrium, so prices reach optimal value that most customers deem "worth".

    3. Mogstation follows neither of these rules because it's a monopoly, and the store owner IS the manufacturer. So you can't use real world comparisons.

I don't understand why you are taking the electronics store to a literal sense. It was meant as an analogy of price comparison, not something that I suggest could actually happen.

I also don't understand why you feel more entitled to stuff simply because you have been subbed longer. As an aside to that, there are a lot of people I know who have subbed for far less than I have, but happened to be subbed last year (and I happened to have taken a 1-2 month break at this time last year) and so they have the items and I do not. For reference, I am at 720 days subscribed atm.

I suppose this will just be one of those situations where we are at complete odds with each other.

The housing items have a non deluxe type you can buy from the market board. I thought 70k for a chair was better than $5, personally. I don't know if there's visually a difference between them, though.

Deluxe is just the tag they add to identify it as a Mog station item. They're also not tradable.
