Just had an amaaaazing Dzemael Darkhold run.
First two minutes or so and everything go pretty smooth, and even though I'm (SCH) a little bit undergeared I can throw some damage in, too. Well, that is until we reach the first blue circle next to the opional room. So, normally you pull the mobs that are standing around and proceed to stand next to the crystals, right?

Well, our tank thought otherwise, pulling the mobs and continue to stand in the blue circle. After the door to the room opens, he gets in there and pulls the other mobs. No biggie, Eos and I should be able to heal through that.

Tank continues to do the same "standing in blue circle instead of near crystals"-thing until we reach the first boss, which we killed rather quickly.

After that, he does that one thing I absolutely hate: Pulling all the trash mobs in the beginning of the second part of the dungeon, you know, the one with the froggos and ghosts and stuff. I spam-heal as fast as I can, tank loses aggro to the other DPS, it's getting messy and chaotic... aaaand of course we wipe. I start to get a little bit annoyed, but oh well, let's see if it gets better.

Tank apologizes, telling us his controller was acting weird. Seemed a bit odd to me, since he used CD's and try to get his mobs back when they run off to eat the DPS faces of, but who am I to judge?

We continue our journey with the tank occasionally losing aggro to one of the DPS, on which he reacted with an angry: "Who's getting aggro ffs? -.-" Well buddy, I'm not a tank myself, but maybe, just maaaybe, you're the one who doesn't do his job quite correctly.

Now we get to the fun part. You know the room after the second boss, with the ghosts and skeletons and AOE-crystals? The one where you have to stand in the blue circle again and get hit by at least one AOE of said crystals? Well, my tank was so determined to shut down the blue circles as fast as possible, he pulled the skeletons and the lizard-thingy, ran into the blue circle and let himself get hit by everything. I started spam-healing again, but of course he died.

I was just baffled. Like seriously, that was absolutely stupid. One of the DPS thought the same and mentioned that this would have been the worst idea ever. Guess what our lovely tank did? Instead of taking the blame and realizing that standing in the lizards breath and getting hit by the crystal-AOE at the same time might hurt a little too much, he started to shout at us and how it was our mistake, because we weren't standing in the blue circle with him to shut it down faster.

Luckily he left by himself, maybe because deep down he knew it was him that f'd up most of the time. We got a nice replacement quickly and finished the dungeon without any more aggro-ping-pong and I didn't need to heal at the last boss at all, so that was kinda nice.

It's not raging strikes that's important here; Flare is 260 potency to the primary target, which is bigger than anything a level 50 BLM has (only superseded by Fire IV at level 60), and it's cheaper than Fire if you use it at the minimum MP it needs. Flare is worthwhile using single target provided your MP is drained and you have Convert (or at least, a suitably potent Ether; not recommended, though) available so that you aren't waiting for MP to resume your rotation. If you have to use Transpose to get to Umbral I, then any gain you got from the potency of Flare is lost to the time needed to kickstart your rotation again.

This is a huge pain to do on PS3/4, though not quite as bad on PS4 with the touchpad enabled, since we controller players generally lack a mouse to quickly right-click it away.

I joined a Sophia EX farm party thinking it was a Sephirot EX farm party.

At least I didn't shame myself TOO badly as I demonstrated that I didn't quite have a clear grasp on all the mechanics yet. D:

I often get groups for normal sophia where the entire group falls off aside from 2 people. Those are fun. Especially when the LB3 is ready because, as a healer, i never get to use those.

Went into the Halloween event instance with a friend last night.

One of the tasks you have to run around and each find a portal to stand on which 3 of us found relatively quickly. This last poor soul tho... was laughing so hard. He was running around for ages, at least 10 minutes. Was watching his little dot on the map run in and out of rooms trying to find one.

At the 10 minute warning tho just felt sorry for him. So i left my spot (upstairs main boss room) and ran down to the first room downstairs.... and there it was.

    Perfect use for /facepalm x3

I'm dumb and just learned I can right click today >.> (Lady is mad now as she can't troll my DRG with arrows \o/). Would be nice if it can be macro'd (I use a controller on PC so I understand the pain).

This was pretty much my first run through as well; found three circles really quickly, then we had one person desperately searching for one for a while; after about 5 minutes, I marked my spot on the map and told them to go there, and went looking... only to find the elusive 4th circle two rooms down the corridor.

I think that the best thing to do that one is to use waymarks to mark the location of each circle as you find it, then once the fourth is found, the person who found it stays in it and everyone else heads to a waymark.

You've been able to right-click to remove certain buffs since well before 3.0.

    /statusoff (name of offending status)
    For example:
    /statusoff "The Arrow"
I think it was added sometime around 3.1. If the named status effect can be right-clicked off, that command will immediately remove it, and it can be put in a macro. First macro I made with this was to remove smoke screen whenever I got a NIN who thought it was funny to hide the tank (me).

I finished my Expert roulette and had 821 Tomes. So I queued for Thordan and Sophia. Sophia pops, tanks leaves immediately. We all laughed and another tanked joined not even a minute later. It wasn't the smoothest run, I ended up tanking the Second Demiurge, the one with Spark. I ran it over to one of the tanks, but he wouldn't grab it. But anyway it dies and they all die. Meteors come and go. Then there was this one meteor and two people fell off. One was the tank. I ended up with aggro, popped Shadewalker on the living tank and everything was going okay. The third LB Bar fills up and I go to use it, but it was interrupted. One of the healers used it. To revive the two dead members. When both healers were still alive. Sophia was at 7%, my Chimichanga would've probably killed it.

Generally tanks don't pick up the second demiurge on purpose and let dps hold it.
