    All dungeons are MSQ required, which forces people to wise up to their jobs faster. As a result? Better parties. Furthermore, every dungeon is explained in the MSQ leading up to them and most are pertinent to the MSQ over all.

    I thought that people wanted to skip everything, not just the story, automatic level 60 and no need to do any combat to start 4.0.

    please no. unless they get a special olympics version of the novice network for...help...with...finding the esc key to skip the new cutscenes and such the like

    they could even get a red brown rusty crusty leaf next to their character name with a full roster of 100 bot unmentors, offering enlghtening automated answers to questions like
    ( crustysprout 1 : "this menu says additional and has alot of icons underneath it, what is it?"
    UnMentor_001 : "Just hit ESC im sure you can figure it out"
    UnMentor_002 : "You can skip cutscenes by hitting ESC or 0"
    UnMentor_003 "Just do FATEs to level faster, it will help!"

    Pretty much no one has suggested that at all.
    Pretty sure most just want the fat trimmed. Say the ability to go 1-60 without 499 sidequest working for fed-ex. The group dungeons, the important instanced solo combat MSQ, and job quests.

    To actually level just as fast as if playing your first playthrough experience wise, but cutting all the padding out. They could still keep the filler quest for extra experience/lore lovers but just not needed.

    And Stormblood could add it's own time fillers, and when the next expansion comes out after it, the Stormblood expansion gets trimmed as well.

    If I may give a different perspective, maybe its not the requirement of having to do the MSQ that automatically makes someone play their class better, but people in the party helping the person play their role better? Which in turn has nothing to do with the MSQ but how helpful other individuals are if they see someone struggling with aspects of their role. You still have many tanks who don't know how to control multiple mobs at once. Some even just down right focus on one and let the others go ape without even trying. Healers not knowing when to cleanse. These things aren't taught anywhere in the MSQ but through experiencing group content. It just so happens in order to get access to this group content you have to do the MSQ, which could easily be adjusted to give people access to these things once they hit a certain level. The Novice thing does try to teach people things if they bother to do it but its not linked to the MSQ in any way. The MSQ just serves as a way to introduce lore to people, nothing more. It doesn't magically make someone a better player. The people helping that individual usually do by teaching them the range on certain abilities, how to combo, so on even though the game does give you pop-ups, but obviously people dont bother to read them.

    19/47 (17/45 if you exclude the Castrum and Praetorium) dungeons are directly related to the MSQ.

    Most lv 17-49 Dungeons are part of the story quests (you have to do those dungeons to progress the story).
    Remove the MSQ will remove the reason for new players to enter low level dungeons and you get untrained tanks in high level dungeons

    This is actually false, in a way. Sure, doing MSQ will not make you a godly tank or a wonderful DPS.     The game is supposed to teach you how to play better and better, not giving you easier and easier content because you can't be bothered to learn.

    Because those trials were too challenging. Would you dare tell me that MSQ gating is a bad thing because it's...challenging ?
