    There's more to this game than just the story. Anyway, if Bloodstorm areas are blocked off until you finish HW (with new Jobs locked behind it again), then SE dun mucked up. If it's specifically stories, then whatever.

    Lock the story, not the content (cities, fields, Jobs, etc). Do as FFXI did.

    Now that I can agree with, allow us a way to access the new jobs w/o completing the MSQ, but unfortunately Bloodstorm areas isn't gonna work so well, especially if Ishgard areas are thrown into the MSQ where certain dungeons are gated behind. Only way that could work would be to essentially turn Ishgard areas into a deadzone completely with no use come BS. And that's something I like about FFXIV vs WoW, FFXIV keeps old areas relevant even during a new expansion so it still partakes in the story, WoW doesn't do that (at least, not that I can see anyway, aside from the main city hubs giving you directions to the new zones)

    As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

    Jobs I could understand on some level to have the jobs not locked as an incentive to be able to try out a couple other elements of the game. On the other hand, I actually liked the fact that the three Heavensward jobs were locked out not because of newer players could not access them, but because of the same reason why the cities and areas are locked: It's ALL part of the story.

    All three Heavensward jobs involve the political aspects of the main city, and those aspects we would only understand through doing the MSQ. What jobs come out next in Stormblood will most likely be the same case, and I'm perfectly fine with that. That'll make the job stories better and serve as a nice reward for completing the Heavensward MSQ.

    We've got maybe eight or nine(-ish) months until Stormblood. There's plenty of time.

    Unless you are new to the game and only started playing because a new expansion came out (and only chose to start playing because a Job you like is finally in the game. Samurai or Red Mage, for example). If Jobs are locked behind the story again, then new players will be forced to level a Job they're not really interested in to 60+

    If it's just story being locked. That's fine. If it's Jobs, then it's not fine and stupid.

    I like the fact the entire exp is locked behind story, for multiple reasons. One of them being that it creates a RMT free environment in the exp areas.
