It's absolutely hilarious considering the 'terms' being thrown around. The issue the OP is bringing up is simply about not locking ingame content to items that cost ridiculous amounts of money. The implication that the emote is simply a bonus is not true. You buy both items at the same time, both emote and Odin Figurine making up the cost of the products you paid for, virtual or not. It cost resources to animate and create that emote, and it shouldn't be surprising that they would've adjusted the price of the odin figurine to accommodate that. Furthermore, it also has a knock-on effect by linking both crowds of people (collectors and people who like ingame content) towards the same item. Thus immediately placing this in cash shop territory, whether SE intended to or not.
It's a bit unsettling to me that some players are encouraging or at the very least accepting the notion that 'cash shop' ingame content should cost this much money, while also paying a subscription fee. There are some people who love ingame items, but have no interest in the Odin figurine. If they wish to buy the ingame emote, it forces them to pay a ridiculous sum of money for a product they want that, when bought separately, should cost much less. The Odin figurine should've been standalone, and without any connection with ingame content. By doing this, that separates the 2 bands of people who prioritise different items over each other, and if a person loves both items equally, then he or she is able to buy both of them separately.
SE has consistently done this in the past for items such as CDs, books and plush toys. But they've ever expanded the library, and it has gotten out of hand to the point where the ingame content is locked behind £111 - one of their most expensive items yet. Even the Heavensward collectors edition allowed the ability to buy the ingame items separately. We should be discouraging this practice, not accepting it.
