FFXIV and FFXI are games that I always felt a strong sense of community, team building, friendship, and people working together towards a common goal. An adventure, if you will. Open world PVP destroys that feeling for me as I don't see the motivation. It would just bring in too much unwanted toxic "git gud" players. There are better games suited for PvP.
