This fight is amazingly hard I love it. Though must of the difficulty results in not being able to move when doing a weaponskill or casting and then having eruption explode you. ; ;

It is really just a waiting game. For DDs I find the best method is to just do light damage to ifrit and build my TP to 3000, then when the eruption happens I move out of the way and then buff up so i can immediately do a weaponskill once there is an opening. If invigorate is up and I am confident I can get the 3000 tp back within the next few seconds I will throw out another weapon skill. Doing this I can avoid eruption upwards of 90%, and the times I do get hit is when I am being stupid and trying to take a risk by throwing out that one last weapon skill when I know it could use eruption at any moment. Obviously this is much more difficult for mages, and it slows down damage quite a bit compared to just trying to burn it down as quickly as possible, but if everyone in the party is more than likely going to die trying to that damage then it doesnt matter all that much anyways.
