Now, the big question. With so much more money, will they choose the "Yes, we can do a lot more new things" or "We invested so much into that, let's play it as safe as possible" way ?

Another question would be "how much will be invested in the game and how muche in C$ ?"
I'de go for the letes play safe, again, after 1.0, I doubt they would let Yoshida do anything out of the box even if he wanted to.

As long as the swimming part does not include fights it could be nice, they could use it to increase the amount of explorating zone or even for quest only or add a new job focused on submarine harvest, maybe an hybrid of the 3 existing gathering job.

Since we don't fly on our own, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be swimming on our own. Using boat-type mounts, however...

Submarines were a big part of some earlier titles and id be ok with that being a part of later game travel, agreed.
I disliked GW2 and "swimming mode weapons and attacks" dont really want to see that crap added in place of more jobs, better job identity, more than 6 zones, one getting minimally implemented as an ex primals hub only(but oddly fantastically designed. sort of), among other things.
